Many of the the conversations in Teams are about a pending task, a found issue or a problem that need to be solved.
It would be great if once it has been solved (adding a bug, explaining the solution, ...) we could somehow "hide" the conversation. But not removing it, as it can be reviewed at any time.
Being able to assign the standard "bug statuses" would help, "Active", "Resolved", "Closed"

This would be a valuable addition in the education sector- currently children can respond to any conversation in a channel and messages can get 'lost'. It would be useful to be able to close a conversation but not delete it.
Please add this. We've been using teams for only a few weeks and it's already getting cluttered. Clearing/hiding conversations on completed tasks/topics is much needed

This would be invaluable for my team. We are currently looking at alternatives due to this missing functionality despite Teams being otherwise perfect.
To go the extra mile, you could even create an optional view which says number of conversations outstanding/resolved, average response time, average resolution time, ect. with the ability to produce view historic data to track performance.

With the new way of working due to the current pandemic, we are using Teams more than ever. Being apart of the team that works on VPN/M365/most on premise and online resources, we have a lot of conversations a day (which is great within a team to keep it clear, and to have multiple conversation at once) however, it quickly gets cluttered up with old conversation. Having a way to organized Active, resolved, or pending conversation would be wonderful.

This is a much needed addition to the Teams application. Currently, it is very inconvenient to have to scroll through every thread and topic to find the conversation you’re needing. This would be significantly more efficient from a user standpoint. I urge you to incorporate this feature. Your users, customers, and application would all be better for it.
This would be extremely useful for my team. We use a channel to request and fulfill shift changes. Once a request is fulfilled by someone, we would like to be able to collapse/archive it. That way the info is still available if it needs to be checked, however older requests that have not been fulfilled can still be seen front and center.
I have notices the same when working on Projects, it can be hard to see all the open topics.
Having the option “hide Closed conversations” would help clear out and find open topics that people are still talking about. I would suggest only Team admin or the conversations poster have the rights to close the topic.

This idea is great because it would allow to get the focus on the conversations that are still active and cleanup the conversation tab, while keeping records of older conversations!
Also, maybe this same feature could allow to rank the importance of a conversation: for example adding "Urgent" or "Important" as a status choice.
