Scheduled Do Not Disturb, like Slack
Do Not Disturb should block all notifications and I'd love to be able to schedule DND, like on Slack
Thank you for your feedback. The team is looking into this feature and considering solutions. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Why would I want eager notifications when I am in a meeting? It's not a social media application.
Need this bad. Just moved onto Teams voice with a 3rd party PBX and presence is a massive pain point. Need ways to have users be on DND with ease for call routing and excessive notifications in meetings.
This would be a great feature. Just being on a Teams call should mean I can opt to go to DND automatically. A setting in the Outlook calendar would be useful as well so that our regular team meetings can just automatically be DND rather than fielding Teams messages because I'm not answering emails, because I am in a meeting.

This feature is just so vital to Teams, it's impressive how it has been missing for such a long time.
If you are on a meeting you should direct your focus to the current meeting, and not be spammed with popups unrelated to other matters.
Please just add an optional Teams setting so the user status is automatically changed to DND (instead of "Busy") when he joins a meeting.
Such a simple feature should be easy and quick to implement, should the Product Group prioritize it.

Please make it possible that the "Busy" state in Outlook is equal to the "DND" state in Teams. This would be so helpful!

I came here looking for the exact thing. Working with some offshore teams, I do not like getting random Teams calls at 3am my time, and if I forget to set offline, this happens every single time.
Any update on your considerations for this enhancement, please?
This would be really useful - we know it can happen as Insights does it with Focus Time planning.
This really is needed

The is very much needed.
The best way to achieve this is to duplicate a 'Focus Time' event and customise the dates to your needs.
Please make this happen. I've always just wanted an option in MS Outlook alone that was a DND status as there are times were you need calendar events that are for working time and not a meeting. In other words, I have a two hour working session on a MS power solution and need to block the time on the calendar but my options are busy (which no one pays attention to) or out of office (which isnt actually the case) and raises eyebrows by colleagues. I would like a DND that spans ms outlook and ms teams.
This would be great. Can it also have an option to turn it on when you are in a meeting or an appointment in Outlook.

yep, focus time; I need to set this status automatically
This would be so helpful! I'm starting to schedule my own consistent Focus Time, rather than allowing Microsoft Analytics to schedule it at random times on my behalf. Would love to be able to schedule DND for Teams.

Looks like Cortana can do this... Weekly Focus Time for example. Why can't I :(
Please give the option to set do not disturb. That would be so helpful, especially if it actually blocked all notifications at that time. It's so distracting.

Yes!!! I teach webinars and do sales demos for software via Zoom every day and the Teams messages are so intrusive! I also, obviously, need my computer sound to stay on while teaching or demoing to talk to my attendees so I can't just mute everything so that Teams doesn't ding in my ear!
And yeah, I know I could manually set DND but that adds to the mile long list of prep I already have to do and doesn't prevent me from forgetting and staying on DND until well after the session and I end up missing out on urgent notifications.

I agree with your presence automatically set to "Do not disturb", during a meeting or appointment. Unfortunately, the "Busy" presence does not prevent a user from sending a message while you are in a meeting! :(

There should be the option to set status of a meeting or appointment to either BUSY or DO NOT DISTURB. This would a huge benefit!
