Skype for Business compatibility is no longer working.
I can no longer receive messages in the Teams app from Skype for Business users here. And the setting to enable it "Chat with Skype for Business" is worded badly... does that mean I can chat with Skype users or that I want to use Skype to for chatting?

It worked great less than a couple of months ago when I was testing the Teams environment as a replacement to our current shared docs location. Now, when I go to give the presentation, it doesn't work... looks great to the business I'm presenting Teams to. When is this going to be fixes / available again? It's a big turnoff to a couple of the departments that are interested. They're already using Skype AND Slack and we wanted to change to just one program rather than three...

Just had a lovely conversation with Microsoft Support about this...basically there is no such thing as interoperability despite their documentation regarding coexistence modes.
The very minute a users even tries Teams just once...they break the ability to use Skype to talk to you if you're using Teams.
Here's the quote from the rep, "Teams is designed to only send messages to Skype for Business if the recipient has NEVER used Teams. Once the recipient like USER B has signed into Teams (even just once), all messages from other Teams user like USER A, would ONLY be sent to Teams."
The support rep even admitted Microsoft's documentation does not match this current broken system. There is no actual migration path from Skype to Teams, there is no actual interoperability. If you have a 1,000 users and just one tried out Teams then you have to decide either everyone uses Skype or everyone uses Teams, nothing in between.
It's crazy but the truth is you can safely disregard everything in this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-and-skypeforbusiness-coexistence-and-interoperability
I'm desperately trying to keep Slack at bay in my organization, but this just gives Slack users more ammunition.
Microsoft, please get it together.

Have a client wanting Skype/Teams message and notification integration. Seems this used to be available and no longer is. Any insight on how to get this back would be appreciated!

We experience the same issue as described by Jason. Teams users don't get messages from Skype users any more, so they need to run Skype in parallel to Teams. This doesn't seem to affect all users though.
This has worked fine before but popped up in increasing amount last month, so this seems like a regression to me.
We was redirected here by microsoft support ticket #10693652 but I don't see why we need to UserVoice this to get it fixed if its a regression of already delivered functionality.

Still not receiving messages from Skype For Business users here. We tested today... I have Teams open, the user sends me a Skype message, I don't receive it, and some time later I receive and Outlook email stating that I missed a Skype conversation. I don't have Skype installed. The other user has both Skype and Teams installed, but refuses to use Teams. I no longer see a setting for "Chat with Skype for Business" either.
