remove conversation tab
I would like the option to remove or hide the conversations tab. Teams is a great way to post and link to team related spreadsheets or slideshows and doesn't require a chat function. Keeping one sometimes means there are chat posts that are missed because they are not expected.
Removing the Conversation Tab is being reviewed by the feature team.
For deleting chat messages, please following progress here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33535006.
I agreed. If we cannot hide that tab, at least let us reorder the tabs.
At the risk of piling on, I too would like to be able to have "Files" as the default view rather than "Conversations" If the designers feel strongly about keeping conversations front and center, please consider a compromise and move it to a right side panel with "files" front and center.
Please allow ability to get rid of the conversations tab.
Agree with Danny Vargas. If the option to remove the tab isn't possible, the ability to reorder it would be very helpful.

If the tab can't be removed, please at least make the tab order sortable so more important tabs are displayed by default when selecting the channel (e.g. Files).
Please make this happen!
AGREE!! Please allow flexibility in the tabs.
I also feel that deleting hiding the conversation tab would be very useful
Agreed. Our team uses Slack for conversations, so while it's fine for those who choose to use Teams for conversations, it's sort of in the way if you don't, and there's nothing you can do about it. Like, when you're short and a tall person stands in front of you. It's annoying.

Agreed. I'm the company's O365 sys admin. What my users want is to be able to decide which tabs are important and when. Every organizational team is different.
Some want all the bells and whistles, but not all.
A lot of my users are just looking for a file server substitute -- a kind of DropBox. Others want a simple O365 portal with Calendar, Files and OneNote. MS Teams ALMOST works well for both of these groups, but it clutters things up with topical Conversations, which they: (a) don't have a need for and (b) don't understand the purpose of. A single Team chat is enough for them.
If I want buy in from them to MS Teams, it's going to need to meet their needs for simplicity and focus a little better.
Please make the conversation tab optional.
Awful. Don't care about conversations, want immediate access to whatever tab is most important to us as a group, that could be our tasks. The wiki is useless.
Teams needs a lot of improvements. You guys don't realize that too much information is overwhelming.
When I click on a team, I want to see the folder structure right away, I don't want to see a conversation tab.
In general, you need to have less clicks involved to get to a particular folder.
I would settle for just being able to MOVE the CONVERSATIONS tab out of first place.
Agree - Please provide the option to remove the Conversation Tab or set a default tab
Agree with everyone else, the tabs need to be configurable. Not being able to configure what is displayed by default for Teams means that EVERY organisation that uses Teams is being forced down the same route not just for collaboration, but also internal communications, as it effectively minimizes top-down comms.
Agree...need ability to to remove or at least reorder Conversations tab
Wow, MSFT is very responsive! NOT! I have the same complaint! Just want to re-order that tabs..."should" be easy...I don't care anything about the conversations...it's just distracting.
yes please give flexibility to move, hide, reorder conversations and files tabs!

And please make it possible to change files with conversation. Many of our team members are confused when first time working with teams because they cannot find the files
