remove conversation tab
I would like the option to remove or hide the conversations tab. Teams is a great way to post and link to team related spreadsheets or slideshows and doesn't require a chat function. Keeping one sometimes means there are chat posts that are missed because they are not expected.

Removing the Conversation Tab is being reviewed by the feature team.

It is hard to believe there is no option to discard/delete a chat once it is concluded. Chat is very cluttered with misc/useless chats such as "Lunch at the diner in 10". All of that makes for a most user unfriendly experience.

It seems too Big Brother for someone outside the conversation to have control over its use. We should be able to keep what we want and to delete what is not needed.

2 months using Teams and i think it's a great app but men! can't delete a conversation? Seriously in my company we have unfornutaly some turn-over and we need de keep history of their works for new employees but the chat sometimes need to be erase (we are human and sometimes chats with coworkers/friends some private stuffs are send and the new one doesn't need to see that).

It is a direct company risk to have old snippets of dialogs floating around like this.
Is this software developed for parrents to monitor their kids behind the scene?
You need to implemnet this function asap.
It is a basic funtion left out, on what purpose?

I would like to see the option to delete old chat conversations. If the subject has been dealt with, why do I need to keep the old stream? It just creates clutter, as mentioned by another user

This is the basic feature that should have been there by default. I don't understand why it is not there. It is extremely frustrating to delete messages instead of a complete conversion.

I would like the option of deleting the conversations. Having all of the old chats listed sometimes makes it hard to find the new ones. I have missed messages from my supervisor because of all the clutter.

I would also like the option to delete complete conversations. My list of recent user keeps growing and growing. I will most likely not be contacting these people again. I rather be able to keep a short list of recent users,I contact frequently.

It's very difficult to use with so many old chats cluttering it. I understand the idea of offering some kind of retention, but people should have the option to choose which conversations to retain and which to delete. I don't need to scroll through hundreds of old messages and useless notifications about people leaving meetings. This definitely eats into productivity when the idea of chat vs email is to make something faster.

This would be a great tool to have, because it helps to control the clutter. Especially if you use conversational bots, you dont want to have all the previous conversations there.

It should a basic function of Teams to be able remove a chat. Given confidentiality issues, it makes Teams rather useless as a Team tool, if you can't delete chats
