Make the GIFs bigger and allow users to make the bigger if they click on the. I use GIFs as mini tutorials for technical tasks. Right now they are too small to be useful and cannot be maximized.
I've attached sample GIF I tried to send to coworkers.

Same problem, same use case. I use Snag It to record 10-30 second videos of tasks that I can quickly export and share over instant messaging. I’m able to share the GIF over both Slack and Teams, but only Slack allows the user to expand the image to full size.
What I don't understand is why they didn't add in the same functionality that already exists for static images where clicking the image expands it in a larger dialog. It makes it way less useful when the user has to either right-click or go to files tab and open it in a web browser (that usually requires you to log in).
I don't understand how animated gifs don't get the functionality as the static images do where when you click on it, it expands larger. You can't even really use it as they are thumnail sized. Not very useful when users have to either right-click or visit the files tab to only then open it in a browser window which then you'll need to log in.
