Please, for the love of all that is green, make the pop-up notifications DISMISSIBLE
The pop-up notifications stay for what seems like an eternity. You cannot configure where they pop-up, and you cannot dismiss them. You can only click on them. This is easily the most annoying thing about Teams, anyone who says anything different is wrong or crazy.
Dismissing the pop-up should also dismiss the notification in the main screen.

Not sure on Mac, but with Windows if you mouse over the top right icon, it will turn into an X and you can dismiss it.
I completely agree that this is the worst thing about Teams. It's very disruptive to my workflow: I can't access whatever tools or menu items are in the top left corner, and end up either waiting for it to disappear (hugely infuriating) or having to click on it to go to Teams and then return to the application I was working in. It's also a big privacy concern - if someone else is looking at my screen I can't quickly dismiss notifications, so others have entire seconds to read what people have written to me, or I could click on the notification and show them my entire private Teams chat. PLEASE fix this so that I can swipe to dismiss notifications!
On Mac you can slide the notification offscreen to dismiss it, seems to have been designed exclusively for tablet convenience.
in Teams for Mac at least, notifications are dismissable... kind of. They've got a close affordance, and when you click it the notification is dismissed. But the main window is focused and brought to the foreground, which defeats the purpose.
