We are after reporting capabilities to capture granular detail on activity within Teams.
We would like to have data capturing:
1. Number of users enabled
2. Number of daily active unique users
3. Breakdown of devices uniquely used
4. Number of teams created
5. Number of teams deleted
6. How many instant messages sent overall in the Chat
7. How many calls made in Teams
8. Number of files shared in channels
9. How many combined ‘likes’ have been made over a period of time

Allow options to specify the period to export report. I dont like the 7 days, 30 days option.
Allow scheduling of reports and email to a recipient.

this capability needs to be exposed to the Team and Channel Owner level, not the service administrator where it currently resides. the service administrator should not actually care about the activity of the channels and teams, only that the service works. the team owners desperately need this function to assess how their team is performing

It's been more than a year since the development team commented on status of this functionality. Does "working on it" mean that it's on the roadmap? If so, when is the planned release?
Hi , how we can fetch an external data to reflect the report on MS team. And, other than power BI do we have any tool associated with teams to utilize for reporting.

It would be great to get a response to this request! Suphatra was a great communicator and interacted a lot with this community but since she left MS, the level of communication feels like it has taken a nosedive.
There was a comment April 13, 2019 that talked about having these analytics available to Team Owners and not just those with access to the 365 Admin Centre. This would be really desirable as we have had a number of Team owners ask for this within our tenant (a large University) recently and these statistics would be quite useful to them to measure engagement than it would be to IT.

Will you also have reporting on overall daily statuses and time in each? If someone was "away" for 2 hours of the eight hour day, could we report on that?
Hi, seems we can only generate usage data for past 30 days. Would be good if we could generate longer term / historical stats.

We would REALLY like to know which Teams have guests so we can easily see where external access is being given and audit that access. The table in the admin center isn't even filterable or sortable so you'd have to scan the entire table or write a PS script to find this information. We would ideally like to ask the Team owners to audit the external access of their Teams on a regular basis.

We're looking for reports about Device usage. We want to know what devices people are using with Teams to make phone calls. More specifically we want reports of what computer audio devices (built in Mic/speakers, wired headset, wireless headset, etc.), Physical Desk phone (make model, firmware, etc.), or conference room speakerphone devices that people use. I can see some of that when I drill into a specific phone call, but I don't see out of box reports for an overall view of that information.
We're looking for a weekly report of each person's activity/conversations. Glad I found this uservoice to vote it up.

We have a teams channel to let others know when someone is not at work ie calling in sick or on leave, is there a way we can run a report say each fortnight to see who was away so we can compare to the leave requests made on our official leave management system.

I would also like to see number of users who have favorited/followed a channel and who they are. As a user, it would be helpful to see which channels you have followed in one list and unfollow those you don't want anymore.
From a Teams admin side, I would add: 1) number of posts per channel and per team (breakdown per day to see historical data and compare usage), 2)Seeing how many people are currently online on the channel would be useful, 3) Number of active users per day for a channel or Team (not for Teams app)

It would be helpful to be able to see usage for a particular team. We are in the first stages of implementing and have no way of knowing easily if members are actually using the site. I should explain that our Team site is less of a way for everyone to communicate with each other right now and more of a hub for sharing information. While we are planning activities that will encourage our members to begin using chat and conversation features (some of which would be visible to us), it would be nice to be able to gather some data on usage during this first year of implementation.

this is the same survey url as the permissions survey, was that intentional as i saw nothing in the permissions survey about reporting?
