Automatically clear activity when the activity is viewed without requiring switching to the activity page
I get a pop up notification of a new message in a channel.
I alt-tab to teams. I'm already in the channel, so I see the new message.
Why does 'Activity' still have a number telling me I haven't seen this new message? Don't make me switch to the activity page to clear the indicator. Clear the indicator automatically when Teams gains focus with the channel that has new activity already selected.

If you know in which chat the reaction was made, you just need to click on the text message where the reaction was activated (the text message shows up as yellow and than goes back to normal color).

There is no reason why when a reaction occurs in an active chat or channel that I should have to navigate to the Activity pane in order to clear the notification. Similarly, if I navigate to the channel or chat in which the reaction was made, it should clear the notification. Please, please, please fix this.
Wow. Really? This has been an issue since 2017??? Activity clears if you just switch focus to anything else and come back to the channel so it's not even about having to view the activity pane.
This is a bug. Please, Microsoft... stop adding things for a single cycle and just fix some of these basic bugs.
Yes!!!! I'm sad to see this has been a problem since 2017. I clear my voice mails in Outlook, no more unread. And yet, have to go to Teams, click Activity, wait while the circle spins and spins, and then the notification clears.
If someone gives a thumbs-up in a chat that I'm in, I then also have to switch to the Activity feed to clear that notification of the thumbs-up of the chat that I was just in.
Yes please! This is so annoying.
I agree with removing what I have already seen. On the flip side when I open Activity do not mark all as read.

I too have OCD when it comes to notification badges. I am constantly clicking the activity page to clear the badge when I know I have already see the thumbs up, or whatever in the actual thread I am chatting in

YES! It took me a while to find this request, but this drives me crazy. I'm constantly having to click into Activity to dismiss things I've already seen.
Yes. Sometimes I've read the message BEFORE the activity feed even updates.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Came here to add this feedback. Don't the devs of this program experience the same annoyance? Seems like a no-brainer.
