discard an edit
I frequently edit my messages within the desktop app - the fact that we can do that is a great feature (and is causing me to learn to loathe whatsapp :) )
However, there is room for improvement. Often I hit the edit message and then realise that (for whatever reason) actually I don't want to edit it. The only options available to me though are to Send or Delete the message, there is no option to discard the edit.
Hence, please could you add a new option when editing messages - discard the edit.
thanks. (If there's already a way of discarding an edit that I don't know about then please let me know. the ESCAPE key strikes me as an ideal way to do it).

Totally agree. Can't seem to discard an edit.

Agree, I'd like to see the same behavior on new messages. sometimes, I'll start posting content that I copied from word/excel, and I can delete the "words" but not the styles (Lines, boxes, etc..). the only way I can delete the entire contents of the message is to "post" then delete it. There should be a "Discard" option on edit.

This seems to be a bug. If you attach file to your message, and then edit the message, you cannot exit edit mode using ESC.
