full screen only one person from the call
On a call with more than 2 persons, unless someone is actually presenting his/her screen, the screen is usually split between the others on the call. Its always a split screen, up to four seperate window. But if someone uses its web cam, lets say to show us a white board... we can't make that specific person's web cam presentation full screen.
We are happy to announce that pinning of specific participant’s video in Meetings is rolled out to the public ring now. Enjoy!

Deal-Killer, the most imporant feature for web conferences doesn't work.
Microsoft, PLEASE FIX THIS - it makes Teams almost unusable.
I can't believe this still hasn't been addressed. This is probably the most annoying thing about Teams and why I much prefer to use Polycom for multi-participant video chats, along with it's better video quality. Seriously, as a Software Engineer I can't understand why it hasn't already been addressed.
What's even worse is that it seems to actually cut each of the views in half, then auto follow a face, so that the face doesn't get chopped in half. But if one of the cameras is on a meeting room, this feature doesn't work, and just chops the room in half, and I can only see one side.
This is desperately needed.
Question: Why give a spot on the main grid to a user not presenting at all? Our meetings almost always have a dozen people, only one of which presents at a time. Most never turn their camera on at all.
From the dark side, those pixels must return!
This seems like a no-brainer.
As an attendee, I need to select one presenter to go full-window (which may or may not be full screen). This would not affect other participants' views.
As a presenter, I need to offer my webcam as a full-window view to other attendees. This should apply to all participants, although they may then choose to change their view back to grid or select another presenter for full-window.
(Note that the terms "presenter" and "attendee" are only for description, and do not describe managed roles/abilities in the app)

Yep, this bit us today. We had 20 people in a call and we needed to see someone's webcam full screen. Since there were multiple people in the meeting, it shows 4 people in quadrants and then the rest of the people at the bottom of the screen as icons, but no options to make any persons webcam go full screen.
Yes.. Awesome enhancement! Meeting chair should be able to toggle "show participant list" .. and if list is displayed... participants should be able to select which ones they want to see.. and / or toggle view when speaking .. etc..
We want this. The user should be able to somehow switch the speakers video full screen.

This feature is essential for our business
Now that we have 'Live Events', I could really use this feature. Consider the scenario of a broadcast with both remote and live attendees. It's fine for the remote attendees to have a ~30 second delay, but the live attendees need to see the actual Teams meeting. If there are multiple cameras or remote presenters, then the live attendees will be stuck seeing a split video screen.

This is the exact use-case that we ran into. One of our team members would like to "present" from their webcam to the team. The option to simply choose one person's video feed to be full-screen would make this trivial.
I'd like to be able to move the particpants up to the top of the window as well, so they are closer to my camera. As it is, everyone is always looking down, because participants are at the part of the screen furthest away from most webcams.

I'd like to be able to see more than 4 people at once.
I agree. When participants are split, you don't get a widescreen view o the room, either. In order to see everyone in the room, you would only want to see the person who is currently talking.

I'd just like to have a more balanced layout of participant video feeds, where we can customise the layout and screen size dedicated to each participant depending on need at the time -
one time it might be a presentation where its important to dedicate as much screen size as possible to the presenter,
another it might be a 1-2-1 or interview we want to be able to record where the videos are more equally sized,
or it may be a conference call where we want to be able to view reactions from all participants.
Its this interview style that's currently defeating us, as the caller's video is tiny, and the person being called is taking up all the screen, where we'd prefer a more 50/50 scenario.
This is infuriating...

This would be great for us as well. I would also like to be able to PIN a video on my screen. I might want one video to take up the whole top part of the screen and then show the thumbnails of other users video in the bottom like you do when there are more than 4 people in the meeting.
Currently each participant in a meeting gets equal layout space wether the camera is on or off. If one participant is presenting using the Camera, I want to see that one camera instead of a slice of everyones camera equally. I should be able to change the layout so I only see the image of a selected participant or the image of the person currently talking.
