full screen only one person from the call
On a call with more than 2 persons, unless someone is actually presenting his/her screen, the screen is usually split between the others on the call. Its always a split screen, up to four seperate window. But if someone uses its web cam, lets say to show us a white board... we can't make that specific person's web cam presentation full screen.
We are happy to announce that pinning of specific participant’s video in Meetings is rolled out to the public ring now. Enjoy!

100% agree - this is a no-brainer feature that should be part of the out-of-the-box experience for Teams.

Please fix! Really hard to be part of team that is remote.

Still not fixed as of January 2019?

With Skype for Business being integrated into Teams, will we have better control over the participant layouts?

How is this not a default feature with this trash product? Ohh ya it's trash i forgot. Back to Skype for Business.

I need this capability for documenting meetings
Why hasn't this been implemented yet?
Stephen Ott commented
100% agree that this needs to be implemented. We'd like to use Teams for our full-staff meeting but need to be able to control which camera is shown full-screen.

We have offices in multiple locations and use teams when we inform our staff. When we all connect, we lose the chance to follow the speaker in a good way. We would like to have the opportunity to choose which participants we want to see in the big window so we can more easily attend the meeting.

Spotlight lock is the most important function we lack as of now, I would say.
Same issue as all the other posters to this point. Please add feature to allow us to choose a single video stream to fill the full screen instead of random splitting of other connected user's icons. Thanks.
Really a hassle when we have 3-party call, and on the other side can only see half of the people in the meeting room as it's a split in portrait mode. In WebEx, the whole room is visible to everyone.
Just had an issue with our remote sales folks. We need to be able to show 1 person or room as full screen when presenting. Microsoft, when you do plan to fix this?
This is a pretty major feature to be able to run remote collab meetings and trainings.
Yes, the lack of this feature wastes everybody's time. Trying to share a whiteboard via camera and you can only see 1/2 of it. Wow. Horrible software.
Crazy that this isn't already a feature!

Here are some Meeting Layout Options I'd like to see:
Spotlight Lock, for TownHall style meetings.
6 Square option - For Q&A panels
8 Square Option - For DR Response teams or other emergency action teams.
it seems like a simple request to be able to make a single user full screen.
its not fun missing half the video while staring at a circle with initials in it.

People are crying out for better layouts in Skype and teams will be not different. We ask users to use Skype for VC calls and the lack of good, customizable layouts for video is a serious flaw to usability and sends us looking at third party services.

That's the most important feature request for web conferences
