full screen only one person from the call
On a call with more than 2 persons, unless someone is actually presenting his/her screen, the screen is usually split between the others on the call. Its always a split screen, up to four seperate window. But if someone uses its web cam, lets say to show us a white board... we can't make that specific person's web cam presentation full screen.
We are happy to announce that pinning of specific participant’s video in Meetings is rolled out to the public ring now. Enjoy!

YES!! PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN SOON!!!
How did this get out the door without that feature?? That seems like a pretty common necessity.
Microsoft needs to fix this!

Hey Microsoft, it is time to fix this to keep up with other video conferencing platforms.
Skype for Business does this right. TEAMS sucks because of this.

I can't believe this is not possible. You can see a full screen of someone's shared screen - why is a video feed any different????
This needs to happen!

Same problem for my company,
May I add, to split screen share and vdo option on 2 different displays. so you can see the others, and the presentation both in fullscreen on multiple displays.
Zoom is so brilliant in this regard. Please copy paste from there. :)
You can do it using the "more actions" (...) button. Click the button and it will show the option to "Enter Full Screen." This will make the screen fill with whatever the currently shared screen is.
Thanks Alex. If you are working on this, Shouldn't this part of readmap
We love Teams... for everything BUT Team meetings! The video layout issues make it the wrong solution when we have multiple people around a table on one camera view. We've been using Zoom which does a much better job for this particular situation. Hope this does get some attention so we can be all-in on Teams!
This is such BS....maybe I should switch to Slack...I'm sure they would answer us.
Rather unbelievable that this fundamental aspect of a video conferencing tool is absent from the product. My company is very much wanting to like Teams, in spite of its shortcomings but this one may well be the killer that puts us onto Zoom. Can't do a full screen video presentation from one attendee? Zowee!
What I'm trying to say is that this needs to be a top priority. Thank you.
I would also like to be able to enlarge and move the position of the self-view window. Rather than it defaulting to the lower right corner, I'd like to move it up to the center at the top of the screen (near my webcam) so that when I look at the self-view, I'm still "making eye contact" with the camera.
Hi MS Teams developers! Any update on this most requested feature.
...Can you add this already? My jebus.

This is honestly the only thing that makes my Teams meeting experience poor.
Right now we have standing meetings and make use of remote participants on Teams (via PC), some choose to share their video and others do not. The main physical conference room attending has a Surface Hub.
Generally, the Surface Hub video will take up the full screen video (on my Teams view, I'm the remote user) until someone else joins. Most of the time, those other users are just audio-only, but that creates TWO major problems for me.
1) half of the screen is now taken up by an audio-only participant, which is complete waste of the screen real-estate
2) even worse, the video of the Surface Hub is now pinned to the left half of the screen but ONLY shows HALF of the video (the left half) of the Surface Hub camera. (confirmed this does happen with other Teams PC video end-points not just Surface Hub)
If a third caller joins, with video, it's a 50/50 shot whether the video will show on top or bottom, leaving the remaining real-estate (audio-only participant) possibly in the worst possible manner.
Please STOP showing the avatars of audio-only participants unless they are actively talking.
Please allow Pinning of a video source for remote participants.
Please fix the bug where Teams video only shows half of the video to remote parties, if they're being viewed at half the available real-estate.

We do a weekly meeting between 2 sites. The other end almost always calls in to use phone for voice. Because of this, the representation of the call takes up half the screen and it's completely useless.
Please add this feature. I should be able to pin the presenter full screen and ignore or remove others who aren't sharing video. This is a big issue vs Bluejeans and Zoom.
Alex, hi. Is there any progress on this small issue?
Maybe not so complicated as detecting active speaker but at least manually picking, and this feature could be optional.
Thanks for the response
