Mimic Skype's chat sizing behavior. In Teams I can see one short line. In Skype I can expand the chat box to re-read my entire paragraph. And yes, paragraph-long chats do happen. At work I chat back and forth all day with a few co-workers, including writing code snippets and longer explanatory chats instead of email, and Skype allows me to drag the window bigger so that I can easily check what I've written before sending, rather than sssssscccccrrrrrrroooooolllllllling forever.

+1 - I feel that Teams is a fantastic communications ecosystem that excels in most ways.... but the chat experience in Slack is better due to its open, clean, linear format. Being able to customise the width of the chat content (narrow "Facebook style" vs full-window) and choose whether to have the SMS-style back and forth boxes or a simple IRC/Slack-style linear stream would really make more people comfortable using it.
chat screen is un usable for old eyes. unable to properly share technical information with this tool. this is another microsoft product that really isn't enterprise ready isn't it?
I agree. Skype was compact.. and had a compact-select format also. You could resize window size and shape as desired. Teams is large enough for a herd of elephants to wander around in the open wasted space. Yes I can mouse/scroll/zoom text size but not window.footprint.
Lack of column width adjustment is ridiculous.

+1, this is really annoying.
This is really frustrating while we seeing long messages in the conversation window, this feature exists with Skype and why not in Teams...

I don't even know why the developers have limited the chat windows' width, is it to make it look more like a phone app? Whatever the reason may be, it's a bad one. Make it full screen!

+1 - this is such a waste of space on a 27" 2k monitor. I can't read what's being shared due to the narrow text area with wrapping. Please fix this... as in fix cause this appears broken.
I avoid using Teams chat in favor of Skype simply becasue the Teams Chat interface is so small.
Perhaps spend more money on development features that people need to effectively use it and less trying to take advantage of the virus situation by pouring money into advertising,
+ another 1,000,000,000
Teams seems such a downgrade from Skype and is now as bad as, if not worse than, Webex.
Resizing is terrible, please fix

Resizing the Teams (Your Teams, Hidden Teams) sidebar is an absolute must.
In addition the ability to toggle wrapping for longer team names when this is implemented would be a plus. Either that or the ability to customize font size.

The chat window is literally so thin that - if it was an option - I could fit 4 chats side by side on a single monitor.
The chat window is so thin that if you have an if statement in a function block in a code snippet, it goes past the window width.
The chat window is so thin that images are ALWAYS so small as to be unreadable - and it's impossible to expand them (and the "copy" button doesn't work).
