Teams doesn't recognise new audio devices being plugged in
There is a bug that USB headsets are not recognised if they are plugged in after Teams has started. The list of audio devices doesn't change even once the OS has recognised the headset and it is working, so there is no audio in a call. The only way to get Teams to recognise it and work with it is to quit out and restart the program, then it works fine.

Microsoft pretty much told me this, still no movement on this post 2 years later. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/certification/devices-usb-devices
Same issue at our organisation of 450,000.
Sennheiser pxc 550s and a number of wireless headphones are rendered useless.
Wow, still no solution.
Moving my entire workforce to Teams and just found out it won't connect to car's bluetooth to make calls/participate in meetings.

Please fix the soonest.
We try different way to connect the headphones but it did not work, even after restart the computer. Does anybody have another suggestions to try?

If you're going to pretty much bury the audio settings far away from the dialing interface entirely (like the dialpad during a phone call - why????), at least include the relevant options for that function in a text nav drop-down until you can get around to addressing the lack of an interface for each feature. SkypeforBiz and the rest do all of this, how is it that being able to hear, adjust audio, hang up calls, etc. all has to be removed and hidden while using that functionality?
There is issue about sound quality when I am using the Headphone.
Person on other side is not able to hear my voice. really bad application.
Microsoft - Just over Two years ago people posted a problem and there is No solution at this time? This is causing more than a minor inconvenience now. I have several Doctors that cannot use their headsets for Team meetings.

This issue is still current - where can one get an answer from Microsoft about a fix?

Similar problems using new Powerbeat pro headset ... works for Skype but not for teams - could only convince it to work one way (ie either microphone or headphone) at a time by changing the audio configuration in Teams to custom - which is obviously not ideal for taking calls!
This does work using a Bose QC35 as a headset on the same laptop ... but the Powerbeats work just fine in Skype / go to meeting etc just as others have reported.
Makes teams just a pain in the a** ... please fix soon
My headset is always plugged in, and Teams (and the computer) are closed/restarted fairly regularly. The headset works for Skype and GTM/WebEx, but no one can hear me on Teams calls (I can hear them ok).
Hi Microsoft, any fix for this? The problem is with any regular audio plug in headset. I have tried 3 headsets that week to work fine with Skype, GoToMeeting and other programs but Teams does not recognize the audio pluged in mic. I connected with my BT and that worked.
Give all the issues logged on this, how about a fix Microsoft?
Having same issue on Android Note 9 and now trying to figure out cause. Headphones work on all other applications. This occurs whether headset is bluetooth or plugged in.
Discovered that apparently Team considers earbuds as headphones under the speaker section, at least on my laptop. My earbuds seemed to work fine once I manually switched to headphones.
teams lost my mic from my headset and so i killed the teams app entirely with task manager then plugged my headset in and restarted teams. Still no joy. I had to just use chat until the meeting was over today. Other devs are having similar issues.
I'm having a similar issue. On android, teams won't recognize when I plug in a wired headset OR when I turn on my bluetooth headphones. this is a HUGE issue and makes it unworkable! you should really fix this!
I'm having all kinds of troubles with connecting my Jabra bluetooth headphones to Microsoft Teams. Headset works fine with Skype for Business and most any other app/web page but Microsoft Teams is hot or miss. Seems to work more frequently on MS Teams when placing an outbound call as opposed to receiving one but fails more often than not overall.
On Android when connecting a Bluetooth headset it was recognized but teams was unable to switch to the Bluetooth output. When changing it would automatically switch back to the main speaker.
The Jabra Speak 510 call controls don't work with Teams. For example, when ending a Teams call I cannot simply click the hang-up button on my Jabra device. I have to go find the Teams screen on my PC and hang-up from there. Same with answering calls.
Will this be fixed?
