Webcam quality is very low
I have a full HD (1080p) webcam which hasn't the same quality in video call than with Skype for Business. We also have fiber optic Internet connection so it's not the cause of the poor image.
It happened on many different computers so I guess it's an issue from Teams.
Question: can you make the video quality much higher?
I have same issue. When I teach on ms team with logitech webcam C 920(1080p) then video becomes blur

I have the same issue, low resolution in Microsoft Teams when using a Logitech C920 (1080p) webcam. Please Microsoft, fix this!

Having the same issue, live video from a shared screen is output very poorly. This is with a very good connection on my end. We need a way to adjust the quality of a shared screen if MS can't handle video.
on the other app my webcam works fine in 30 fps. But in teams its only 5-10 please fix this
Bought a Logitech C920s HD Pro and getting blurry video in Teams. Other video tools are fine. Please fix this issue!

any update we are expecting on MS teams Video Quality because irrespective of the Internet quality, the video quality is poor.

Despite of having good quality webcam, video quality at reception end is very very poor. When can we expect the resolution for the same ? Please share.

Any update we are expecting on MS teams Video Quality because irrespective of the Internet quality, the video quality is poor. and the remarkable lag between audio and video.
Teams works okay, but the video quality is so poor. It's almost embarrassing for us to present meeting rooms for our executives based on Teams because the video quality on a great day is running 720p with a bitrate of 1Mbps, where we have invested in high quality hardware and 4k cameras and everything.
Also the image processing is the worst I have ever seen. Teams cannot handle poor lighting conditions at all. We tested on the same hardware and connection as Cisco Webex and even forced webex down on a similar bitrate, but still the quality was so much better. They use a great processing of the image and deliver an evenly lit scene with good detail and no noise. With Teams there is flickering all over and so much noise and everything is just a mess :-(
I have the same problem, 1080p cam but low res on teams only, fibre connection.
Do you have a solution?
Same problem here.
I bought a high res webcam - only to realize the issue was Teams, not the camera.
My attendees need to see handwriting. That is simply not possible.
(It seams like quality differs user to user and over time).
Please fix the quality to show documents in a readable manner!
We have this issue, but it appears to be specifically that the local view of your own video is downscaled in quality, and the recording is downscaled in quality. Live streaming the other end can see it at full 1080p.
Please vote on this issue as well if it matches your case:

being pushed to move from SFB to Teams by MS then to find out that the quality of the video quality within Teams is nowhere near the quality of SFB is beyond unacceptable. Please fix!

Same issue here. Most of the time Video quality is very very poor. Sometimes after switching on and off the webcam HD Quality kicks in, but most of the time this does not work!
Extremely unsatisfying especially since we wanted to use a Virtual Webcam under linux to share our screens.
awful, awful, awful video quality in Teams and we moved from Skype Business to this!!!
Agreed. Only my teams front camera is poor. Really annoying.
Agreed very very poor

Same problem on my Microsoft Surface Book 2 (front camera).
But back camera is crystal clear.
Update: it seems like it is only locally picture quality that is poor - the meeting participants are seeing good picture quality from my webcam... weird.
Both cams is good in Skype for Business.

The same camera will look crystal clear in skype but be blurry in teams. We've reverted to skype in all our web conferences. Frustrating
