Planner Card Background Label Color
Right now the labels are a small little color dot on the side of a card, Trello has something similar.
I would like to see labels that adjust the entire background color of the task card, that would make it MUCH easier to visualize the labels/categories at a glance (much like Outlook calendar could do).
I think that would definitely be a leg up on Trello.

Would not work since labels are not unique. You can select more then one label. So what behavior do you expect from that?

Sometimes I just don't get why Microsoft products are just a frustrating touch from being excellent.
You've copied planner from Trello which has had color blind mode since it's early days, why wouldn't you copy that too?!
And why is this known since 2017 yet still not figured out?!The purple, red, pink, blue all look the same! I mean add some other colors or something! Just so frustrating!

Adding a single coloured dot to the top of my card makes my planner too bulky and more difficult to read. I want more concise information in a simpler format where the colour is the entire tile.

Please implement this feature. We would like to be able to change the background color of individual task cards.

This is something that would help a colleague who is color blind. Colored tags are good, but not significant enough -- coloring the whole task would be best. thx!

If I checked multiple labels what color would you use for the background? Making it multi colored would be ******* my eyes. Maybe make the selected labels span the entire side of the card to make it more visible.

Here's a hack approach to achieve this: https://sharepointrepairjoint.blogspot.com/2019/02/planner-hack-add-background-colour-to.html

Spoke to our TAM about the very same feature today. Would provide a great virtual alternative to the infamous post it note planning walls we have around work.

also add the ability to customize the colors ROYGBV and maybe put 1or 2 numbers or letters in them.

It would be good to have different themes for Planner like dark, light, and high-contrast.

I agree. For larger corporations we need this to help break up the wall of white
