To negate other's approval, we need thumbs down. I had to use angry option which didn't go well 😒

Two of the organisations I work with are about to move to Zoom because there's still no agree/disagree button which you can see the numbers of for informal decisions. (Both Zoom and Blackboard Collaborate have this function.) I want to stay with teams because of the integration but I am losing the argument because of the lack of this basic meeting feature.

We need also a very quick vote possibility: agree/disagree, thump up/down

I like to do a quick vote to see if students agree or disagree on a topic. Right now, students can use the thumbs up if they agree, but then to show they disagree they either have to use a sad face or the angry face, both of which feel much more emotionally intense when seen on the screen in the chat as a way to simply express disagreement. Thanks!

Having a 'thumbs down' option for students would make it so much easier to check on understanding, show agreement/disagreement, and voting yes/no on something. Emojis are not an appropriate way to do any of that.

We need this for simple voting. Up for yes, down for no.
After using Teams for several YEARS, today I learned through embarrassment that there is no thumbs down emoji. I asked my entire team to vote on a comment I made, yes or no. All I got was the laugh emoji, and I had to ask them why.

My team constantly disagrees with me and I would like a simple solution for them to voice their opinions.

You know what, thumbsup is the only reaction we use in our team.
Instead of people saying "ok", "I understand" "done", "yes" or other similar positive things. The exact meaning is derived from the context. Therefor a "thumbsdown reaction to represent all sorts of negative reactions is needed.
The other 5 reactions? We don't use them, they are pretty much useless as reactions. Most of the time we send emojis instead. You are welcome to replace any of those five reactions with a thumbsdown.

Like others have mentioned, a thumbs-down reaction is a necessary complement to thumbs-up. A few times today, a team member posed a question that would benefit from affirmative "not me" answers to be sure the question was understood and answered, be it with a yes or no. Instead, there are a few thumbs up followed by a series of "No," "Nope," and "I don't" messages filling up the screen.

There is a thumbsup reaction which in general indicates a "positive" feedback. Something for a "negative" feedback is also needed.
An example everyday use:
At the end of our morning chat I ask my team "Does anyone want to add anything?". When they don't have anything to add, they want to react with a thumbsdown, meaning "No I don't have anything to add", but there is no thumbsdown reaction.
Instead they either reply with a "No" message which is a low information clutter message (something reactions are built to overcome) or they just keep silent which is confusing.

Please also add this to Live Events. Our attendees want to be able to down vote a question they don't agree with.
