Audio call recording in Teams
How about recording an audio call when initiating a Teams call, similar to how Skype for Business does ?

1:1 convenience recording is currently on the teams backlog. We will share an updated here as soon as it is available.

Very important, this is one of many features Teams "VoIP" is lacking on the enterprise scale.
We are waiting for 1:1 recording to be enabled before switching the rest of our firm to Teams calling. We have discovered a workaround though (as we have been testing the system) that is not a tenable long-term solution. You can start a 1:1 call, then add another participant to make it a 3 person call. The call recording is enabled as soon as it becomes a group call. Even after the third person drops off, the call recording function remains! So, I've been calling my cell phone (as a third party) and hanging up so that I can have the recording functionality for 1:1 calls.

Please enable Peer to Peer call recording in Teams. As of now only Microsoft Teams meetings and Group calls can be recorded but not 1:1 calls.
This topic has been going on for a while. Please provide an update on the progress.
Even the official roadmap does not mention any update/progres on this topic.

Come on this must be getting worked on by now. Literally stopping so many customers from making the switch and theyre all having to sign into new contracts with their phone providers
It doesn't seem like there is any response from MS on this since August 2018 when it was still "on the backlog". Any update microsoft - this is a key bit of functionality especially is this day and age!!!

Hah - I'm so surprised this isn't included already. Just went searching for how to enable it and I found here that it's not a feature yet. Added my vote!
This functionality is needed for compliance, creating a meeting just to record a call is not productive.

Can you comment on two fronts
1) Recording normal Teams calls but also the Telphony Teams Call recording.
We would like to know the status on both of these.

We want to use this with Call Intelligence in the Dynamics 365 Sales Intelligence package, but ironically we cannot configure our Microsoft Teams phone system to record calls for processing by another Microsoft product.
Customer requires this for compliance purposes. When do they expect to have this accomplished? 1
