Audio call recording in Teams
How about recording an audio call when initiating a Teams call, similar to how Skype for Business does ?
For organizations that need call recording for compliance purposes, admins can set via policy. To see how this works for calling and meetings, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/teams-recording-policy.
1:1 convenience recording is currently on the teams backlog. We will share an updated here as soon as it is available.
Fully agree, with this product, I could get the Voice licence and use TEAMS for a lot more within the entire business It would also be a great option for small businesses. Please consider!

Any updates on 1:1 Call recording? Is it still on the backlog or is it being worked on? I would really like for Teams to have this capability without the use of a third party product.

It's very important to have these features in MS Team.
Please add one-on-one calling! Would be great to have. We are holding off on migrating until this feature is added.

Had an issue today that I've never had before..... Was in a call with a customer, attempted to bring in two other participants and every time I tried, I rec'd the message "an unexpected error occurred"
I have tried to record the one to one calls audio and video but couldn't find any option to record, want to ensure is this feature available as per license criteria or this feature is not available ?
Please add this feature in
Record all calls as an administrator or record ad-hoc calls

If you would like a work-around that lets you record calls today, then you can choose the "Show Participants" while you're in a Teams Call...add another participant to the call, such as your cell phone which you can answer and mute (or a dummy teams user that you can answer for), and the recording button with be enabled. After your call is finished, the recording with show in the chat area under the Recent group (saved to Stream)

I can see that the current status of this request have changed, could we get an confirmation from Microsoft that they are currently working on it and maybe an estimated delivery date?
As per others we are a regulated industry E5 customer waiting for this to appear before we move (CUCM to Direct Routing).

Seems like we're going backwards unfortunately.... New update wont let us add participant to use the workaround to record calls.. it says at top now when doing voip call +1VOIPNUMBER is using Skype for Business. Some Microsoft Teams features won't be available.
then the conference call button no longer shows up.. :(

Any updates about when will this feature be available? Actually I find it strange that it's not there in the first place.

Not having 1:1 call recording is not just a problem for some of my customers, but also a problem for myself when we need to call a customer directly about something that we need to have evidence of what was discussed during the call. The feature is not there!
Meeting is the only way to have any call recording, which is a hassle when you have a customer driving or on their mobile and they are not keen to join a conference call.
We cannot switch to Microsoft Phone System until 1:1 call recording is enabled. Can we get this on the roadmap?
Any updates on 1:1 Call recording?

Call recording for 1:1 calls is must have - and ought to be a fairly small item given the recording is available for group calls....

When we are taking phone calls from colleagues while driving for example, I can't take notes and sometimes we bounce so many ideas that we lose track later or forget about most of them.
We should have a call recording facility on both mobile and desktop clients that makes the recording go automatically to a sharepoint or personal one drive space where you can access it as a mp3 file. Also it should have transcribing similarly to what happens with voicemail using using timestamps, that way we can easily search through the call and find the relevant parts. Seeking the audio file through a long 1 or 2 hour call to find a specific topic we discussed to grab the notes may be very time consuming.

Any updates on this?
This is also very important for us.
For everyone on this thread, there is hope. "Call recording for compliance—Since many industries have regulatory policies that require the recording of calls and meetings, we’re partnering with compliance recording partners, including ASC, NICE, and Verint to add this capability to Teams."
