Audio call recording in Teams
How about recording an audio call when initiating a Teams call, similar to how Skype for Business does ?
For organizations that need call recording for compliance purposes, admins can set via policy. To see how this works for calling and meetings, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/teams-recording-policy.
1:1 convenience recording is currently on the teams backlog. We will share an updated here as soon as it is available.
Problem is no buddy reply on this forum. Then I don't know why Microsoft have provided this facility.
Need a way for meeting or call organizer to disable recording
Any update regarding 1:1 compliance based call recording?
I have set up a policy for one of my team user. I also set a bot and configured the end point fir call.
I set the permissions for graph api, but when i click on call icon of my user it could not hit the end point of my API
As a work around you can use "meet now" and dial the PSTN number. You have the option to record in meetings but not via the calls tab. PSTN participants get the recording announcement. Seems like just a UI issue which is a shame

Does this take into account recording based upon legal restrictions (like 1/2/all/no-party consent, which varies based upon each locality you may be within) or is there some loop-hole around that?
For example, let's say Company A is legally allowed to record in a local jurisdiction (w/o requiring to notify anyone beforehand) calls party B (may even be a member of Company A, which may complicate things more), and party B (in his current jurisdiction, legally isn't allowed to be involved with, or take part in, any privately-recorded call, otherwise is considered an affiliate in such crime) answers the call on his personal phone/computer, while unknowingly getting his voice recorded, tells Company A to $uck @ff and d!e, or worse. Let's say Party/Company A decides to post this content to some public site with information about such person and friends/family/etc. find out, he get's ridiculed/yada-yada. Granted, Party B needs some anger management classes, but which parties can be involved / sopeana'd in a legal matter? Answer, all of them (even Microsoft as the service provider, but they surely don't mind a fine compared to the cost they made from people/organizations purchasing Office 365 licenses, etc), but that's where the start of the complicated battlefield is!
I mean, this is a serious question, granted a highly-exaggerated scenario. But the point to make is the same.

Regarding the docu, this mean we need a separate record app for recording teams call? Very unattractive tbh. I would expect something similar to streams, or an area in teams admin center.

Any updates regarding the 1:1 call recording? This was scheduled for Q2 and then postponed to July and now it's August and still no peer to peer call recording!

I was told last year that I had to convert from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams. I used Skype for all my phone calls and my daily business. I was able to record calls if needed, which it was very important to do at certain times. I made the change and I can't stand Teams. I have an organization of one person. I don't use Teams other than making and receiving calls. I can't believe that after Teams has been 'live' for over a few years, that we still can't record calls. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
We need to record phone calls to be compliant. Please make this feature available.
Individual users need an opt-out by default settings to not transcribe their spoken words to the meeting recording transcript.

We would like to have the feature to record all calls automatically on the cloud, so that the admin/QA can review the calls for Quality purposes.
This is for One to one call as well as Teams meetings calls.
Having the option to record Audio only in Teams recordings and also having the option to record video with audio is ideal.
I am curious if anyone knows with certainty: Is it possible for my employer to secretly listen or record my Teams video and/or audio calls with a coworker?

Check out www.callcabinet.com, they have a fully cloud-native (Azure-based) solution for recording in Teams.
