Audio call recording in Teams
How about recording an audio call when initiating a Teams call, similar to how Skype for Business does ?

For organizations that need call recording for compliance purposes, admins can set via policy. To see how this works for calling and meetings, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/teams-recording-policy.
1:1 convenience recording is currently on the teams backlog. We will share an updated here as soon as it is available.

This was a critical feature for us BEFORE we migrated to Teams. When we specifically asked the Microsoft Support Tech, "Will these instructions work for recording regular calls, and not a meeting?", his reply was "Yes it is designed to work as long as the feature is enabled by the IT Admin". Now, after migrating off our old system, we find out that this is NOT a feature of teams, so we're stuck. Please educate your techs to give out the correct information, and please add this feature ASAP.

We have a couple of clients looking at Teams but need to enforce recording of all voice calls, especially PBX. They are looking at Q1/Q2 2019, should we rule MS Teams out?

It would be very interesting to be able to automate the recordings of all the calls.

Is there an update on this as yet? We're trying to get our customers to migrate from traditional PBX and hosted PBX to their 365 system but this is holding 90% of them up

We are also waiting on this feature ASAP. We are fully migrated to MS Teams and completely phased off SfB.

We need this as well. Currently use BOC call Recorder for Skype for Business.

Is there an approx ETA on this? When it does come out will it also work in the direct routing hosted architecture model?
We host Teams PSTN calling plans (per user or per trunk) via our own network & geo-redundant SBC 7000's - we currently have a work around we are using for customers but are curious how long we will need this and how many resources we should continue throwing at it. If native MSFT solution is around the corner, it would be helpful to know. Per below comments from others, we have encountered multiple customers who have this requirement due to their industry.
Thank You
Gary

Regulated industry must have this. You'll unlock access to customers with budget who otherwise are going to Zoom

I too need this feature before we can migrate from our current system.

How about a voice record for conversations for my students with disabilites

In a financial regulated company call recording is essential with no user involvement needed. Without this we would be unable to move to Microsoft Teams from Skype for Business.

Any ETA? Need to decide on deploying Skype For Business Server (on prem) for it's call recording API support or can we skip that and go to Teams if that will be able to record communications for users in regulated industries (Finance).

This option should be built-in, yet I haven't seen it in SfB or Teams. In many states in the US, call recording requires single-party consent. In other words, (where I live) if I'm on a call and want to record the call for my own purposes, I am legally allowed to do so without notifying the other parties on the line.
I would like to be able to do this and it would be extremely useful to have built-in, along with a checkbox to auto-record all calls. For my organization's purposes, it would allow us to review how calls team members had with clients went, and how their performance in terms of how they provided service.
This might require regional considerations but this should be an option added a priority, even if it's only able to be enabled on the administrative end.
