Audio call recording in Teams
How about recording an audio call when initiating a Teams call, similar to how Skype for Business does ?

For organizations that need call recording for compliance purposes, admins can set via policy. To see how this works for calling and meetings, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/teams-recording-policy.
1:1 convenience recording is currently on the teams backlog. We will share an updated here as soon as it is available.

We are using the Microsoft Phone System cloud based solution for Teams. Microsoft has a product to provide call intelligence (analyzing .mp3 or .wav) but Teams/voice PSTN in/outbound calls cannot be saved into Azure. :(
We need this feature badly...

It has been over a year since it first appeared as "on the backlog". This is critical for regulated industries. We need some guidance on this functionality asap please.

I would love to use the voice capability within Teams in our organisation, however, it is a requirement for us to record all telephone calls, which is not possible.
This is also holding us back from recommending to our customers who tend to work in the finance sector and also require this functionality.

I've let my sales rep know that this is a required feature that may tank our trial. If anyone else is in the same position, I suggest you do the same.. let get this bumped up the queue. Anybody know of any other workarounds for all cloud Phone System/Calling Plan implementations?

Can you tell me if recording a call is being looked at more like skype as this is a extremely useful tool especially when training someone how to do something in a new system.

Is there any official roadmap for all the back-log activities, with estimated GA dates? We have many customers that really need more than PSTN trunk recordings. It's a compliance requirement in many contires to record any voice call with customers (PSTN-Teams and Teams-Teams calls) when making financial agrements. PSTN-Teams call recording we can provide with SIP-REC protocol on the SBC, but Teams-Teams call is not possible to record yet. This is the most wanted feature as we see it, a lot of customers will start the transition when this become available.

Astounded that this is not a priority feature. Skype for Business has it and most 3rd party recorders will record Skype Meetings but not Teams....HELP!

Do we have an eta on this feature? it is a much requested feature from our clients' side since a lot of them are working with a service desk where they want to record their calls to use for training purposes.

Teams can greatly record meetings, but no Calls. Since there is slightly no difference in the interface for Calls and Meetings, you are looking in vain for the recording e.g. for the shared desktop. We use these records for internal training and as reference in similar cases.

For call recording with Teams, maybe you want to check the SmartTAP software from AudioCodes.
