Make Teams web app available in Safari
I receive a message hat is coming soon...any updates?
This is currently in Preview – planned to release very soon.
In the following weeks, Teams will be rolling out support on Safari 11+ on macOS. While in preview, there are known issues with Safari’s ITP mode and it is advised that users disable Safari’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention.
I agree with these comments: "Coming Soon - Feb, 2019"
We have links which were created within the TEAMS desktop application that, when followed, link to the web location of TEAMS documents (not sure why the link doesn't stay within the desktop application but....) and it probably wouldn't matter to much if the web version were not in PREVIEW.
Safari still indicates "Microsoft Teams PREVIEW".
Finally, particularly in these times, I'm not so concerned with "What's the hold-up?" as "Please publish accurate information as to timelines/roadmapps.".... or has this release been abandoned?

So, very curious to know if the fact that it's not moving is technical versus lower vote counts.
If its technical please state what is missing from Safari.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Yes it would be good to get an update on this as we have people who were hoping to use Teams but then being disappointed because their particpants use a mac / safari and so we are having to provide a Zoom license!
More than 1 year later what is the update ?
Really need this full safari browser support! I'd like to use teams for booking online appointments with our clients vs. using google meet but can't do that if Safari isn't supported. I'm not switching to teams just to use Zoom.
Coming Soon! A year ago!
Thi is still, all this time on, not working on ios or osx. I get the ITP mode error, even though if I use private mode it does work. Microsoft, I think your auto detection and showing an error page, rather than allowing us to use it anyway, is a major problem.
Teams DOES work in private mode, where the blocking error page from MS doesn't appear. Probably because private mode doesn't let you sniff the browser. So please, please, please, remove your safari detection script and allow us to access teams from apple devices.
Trying to set up remote working with our school for Covid-19 and teams is unusable since apple people are blocked. We cannot force users to install apps on their own devices.
Sort it out! This is embarrassing.

Preview version in Safari 13.0.5 - it works, but after some time the status of all contacts becomes undefined, correspondence with them works, but it is impossible to see who is online and who is offline.
Very soon you say... A year later and still no sign of this exiting 'Preview'
We can't expect external meeting attendees and collaborators to install desktop apps, so without widespread browser support, this tool cannot be adopted.
Slack has already won the battle as our persistent messenger and with no sign of a viable solution from Microsoft, I can see us adopting Zoom as our electronic meeting service very soon.
Preview version in Safari 13.0.4 doesn't work.
Still says to disable "prevent cross-site tracking" even though the setting IS disabled.

Still not available, teams is still inaccessible.

Still not available. We are taking our preview currently till end of Q1/2020. Right now it looks like we switch back to Zoom.
Client on MacOs takes toooo much CPU and slows down the Systems and nobody can easily join with a Mac running safari.

This is a huge problem for us as a University, where macOS is the majority OS among students and faculty.
Still alive in december 2019... The Teams app on mac is incredibly unstable so we wish to not install it on our Apple devices. Skype for business (Which was working just fine) has been stripped down to a kind of "read only piece of software" and when we plan a meeting in Teams via Outlook half of the invited members stumble upon (like this issue when users use Safari as default browser) the disability to join a Teams meeting... Teams looks like a very promising platform but works like cr*p in MacOS at the moment
Preview was Feb 2019. Its now almost December and 10 months later and the MACOS has been updated twice in the time frame and and still no release of teams for Safari. My guess is that this is extremely unimportant and will never see the light of day. Guess its to use the actual app instead of a browser. Extremely disappointing that this will not be supported but I guess that is what happens. Simply use a different option than teams I guess if you want to use MACOS and a browser.

So I guess no updates so far, Is Microsoft really serious about fixing this issue?

I am also interested to know when Microsoft Teams will be released for Safari. Any updates?
When Teams on Safari will be released with all features ? Tx
