meeting reminders
Regardless of where a meeting is created, Outlook or Microsoft Teams, the 15 minute reminders and the like should generate a notification from Microsoft teams to the user, either a popup dialogue window or otherwise.

Work on meeting reminder for Teams meetings is in progress.

April of 2021 and I'm just now discovering this function isn't possible (my company just adopted Teams). Looks like this solution has been pending for about 4 years. Hard to believe, if this is in fact an official Microsoft forum.
As the makeshift "I.T. Guy" for my company, this lack of capability is hard to explain to my staff when Outlook has been able to do this for decades.

Please create a pop-up meeting reminder when a meeting is about to begin and an option to join or start meeting from that pop-up. This is available on Webex and does not go away until you manually close pop-up or join meeting.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before or if this should be a separate suggestion. Since moving to Teams, most of our employees rarely have the need to check emails now. Which means if a last minute meeting is booked they may miss the invite. It would be great to receive calendar invites notifications in Teams and have the same ability to accept, decline, etc.

Considering I am on a MS Windows OS, using MS Teams and MS Outlook/Exchange, but Cisco (WebEx and Jabber) has better features and MS needs to catch up
Feature Request: separate pop-up meeting notice when meeting is about to begin and option to join or start meeting from that pop-up. Feature is available on Webex and does not go away until you manually close pop-up or join meeting. Cisco Jabber also has a pop-up

Good to hear this is being worked on as it is very annoying not having the reminders go out with the original invite to particpants.

In my daily usage I often do not (yet) open my MS Outlook, but MS Teams is already opened automatically. So I don't receive meeting reminders that I miss.
This gap could be closed by MS Teams, but so far I do not receive meeting reminders from MS Teams. -

It's a big surprise that there are no reminders to the Teams members for the meetings set up in the channels. Hope this will be available soon.
Our case: we set up monthly learning webinars for our internal customers and we want to have reminders (e..g. a day prior) so people could visit. Now it's only visible in the channel feed that is not OK. -

I agree that we need this for the linux clients. I seem to miss meetings a lot without the notifications!

When will this be finished?

This is huge. Can't believe it is still not available, after being reported as in development over a year ago.

Works so well with Slack, seems odd that Teams doesn't have it.

It would be great to have this implemented in Teams on Linux as well.

Please can you provide an ETA for this feature? The last admin comment was 13 months ago.

Agree with commenter on 3/1/21. It has been a year now...has this not yet been implemented? This is a basic function and colleagues miss meetings due to lack of responding to invite or lack of reminders.

Please implement this ASAP. There should be an option to set reminders days to minutes before the meeting. I would like a reminder sent to all participants the day before. I'm surprised this wasn't already featured.

"Work on meeting reminder for Teams meetings is in progress." Quite literally over a year ago at this point.
I get it, global pandemic and all that. Your dev-team should 100% be able to handle this without resorting to telling users "Make a flow in powerautomate for this".
First, I can't make flows for any of my fellow employees, who quite literally barely handle the computer in general.
We should be able to set our accounts for reminders, how often we want them, and in what time increments.
I have multiple employees hoping to get a notification about meeting times at 45 minutes to start-time, and another at 5-minutes. Just the one notification, if you have outlook open on the desktop, at 15-minutes is not nearly enough.

It would be really great to get this feature implemented ASAP. No need to add all the bells and whistles now. I would just really like to be able to close Outlook to not be distracted by incoming e-mail, but still be notified about new meetings via the Calendar already in Teams. If you expect users to move most of their activity over to Teams, similar to how companies use Slack, (and I would think this is your goal) then this is a must-have feature.

Don't see any facility for reminding people about upcoming meetings? Could be a good addition, since people often forget especially when a meeting has been agreed a long time ahead.
