Regardless of where a meeting is created, Outlook or Microsoft Teams, the 15 minute reminders and the like should generate a notification from Microsoft teams to the user, either a popup dialogue window or otherwise.
Work on meeting reminder for Teams meetings is in progress.
Hi - Can see a Working on it from Microsoft Teams from a year ago - this feature doesn't seem to yet be available and we are using teams a lot now so could really do with it.
Any idea on when this will be available?

Really need this asap.
Late to meeting with no audible Teams reminder.,

I'm constantly missing meetings or am late to meetings due to having Teams open but not having the Outlook client open. Seems strange that Teams can display the meeting on my Teams calendar, but won't pop up a reminder for that meeting.

I don't constantly have Outook and Teams open but this makes me miss meeting prompts (mainly due to the CPU & RAM it uses up on my Surface Pro 4).
Can we not use Edge or native Windows functionality to do a toast reminder whether the apps are open or not? .
If not, I'd be happy to keep Teams open all the time as my single collaboration hub but need meeting reminder prompts.
(BTW, this seems like a duplicate of this other request - suggest you merge votes https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/30976006-better-reminders-for-meetings-and-invite-notificat)
Just started with MS Teams and was missing the pop up notifications as well.
Would never have thought, that this small upgrade would take such a long time.
But there is an app available to digitally praise employees for good work. Really interesting prioritization.
Maybe I will use it to praise those beeing on time without the useful meeting notification.

Hey there! Wondering if this idea also includes how long before a meeting starts the Join button appears in the channel. Can that time frame be adjusted, so if the host is online 10 minutes early, others can join too? Just wondering how much will be configurable.
another vote to add to the linux client

Can this include reminders to be sent to external users. Similar to what we have in Bookings, but for meetings.

Yes, meeting reminders are imperative when we are working on something else and turn back to our screen to see we are now late! Thank you!

Please add this to the Linux client. It would be very useful.
Running into this problem of requiring an individual invite to each member of the team or group. Chews up time and can easily cause missed meetings/invites. Needs cross functionality with Outlook especially, and better reminders sent directly to all team members.
Reinventing the wheel takes its time, I suppose.
Or it's ready but when it came to presenting it to QA, they missed the meeting because they were not being reminded.
Could you please give information about when this essential feature be available?
Meetings reminder of Cisco WebEx was so helpful that I almost never missed meetings. He reminded me several times (15, 5, 0min before schedule) unless I am in.
Probably, the concept of Teams is to let the host remind mandatory guests only, and thus optional guests are not forced to join it. That would be one idea, but why don't you provide us options and let us choose one?

This is an extremely important feature. I am often doubled or tripled book and the WebEx reminders I received in the past were extremely helpful for me. Teams meetings needs to have this functionality as well.
Without the pop up reminders it is easy to miss a Teams Meeting. The reminder pop ups are important tools since we are usually busily working on projects or in other programs and not in our calendars at all times. Please add this feature to the future developments in TEAMS>
Please work on this reminder. It is imperative to our company needs.
