How is it that teams can’t CHAT with externals (Skype, S4B or Teams) if there are options on the admin panel to enable that?
Currently in Teams, there is no option to chat with internal on-prem skype/lync users aswell. This is stopping us from modifying TeamsUpgrade policies for our users.

Queria dizer que seria interessante se a MS desse condição para que o Skype conversasse com o Teams até que a migração aconteça 100%.

A lot of businesses still use the Standard version of Skype because the Skype for Business was so poor in its functionality.
Teams looks very good but it must be able to add people not only external to the organisation but that are on Skype General.
Is MS going to be looking into this possibility ?
How can a small business flourish using Teams if the regular Skype members cannot chat with you. It’s going to be hard to sell this product..? Any timeline for a suitable change in the teams..?
Teams looks interesting, but I would wait until MS integrates with skype home if you do business with people outside your company.

Without external contacts Teams is no replacement for S4B.
I lost my Microsoft contacts after my organization upgraded.
Even worse, I can not use S4B with an other account, because S4B gives me now no longer a chance to logon as a different user.

I used to use Skype to communicate with contractors that are not part of my organization. I can no longer do that with teams. Does anyone have a recommendation for a better solution?
This is extremely frustrating! Isn't there a single leader on Microsoft that knows the basics of Customer's Experience!?
As long as Microsoft Teams does not support communication with Skype users, projects will prefer using Slack. And getting Project teams from Slack back to Microsoft Teams will be very difficult.
Now that Teams replaces Skype, not being able to communicate with external contacts kill all our efforts to promote Teams. Most of our users work with external partners and as they use SFB they are able to communicate with them. Switching to Teams do not allow that so I can't see how we could switch right now.

Well done Microsoft you have killed Skype and what a way to kill it. I have migrated to office 365 and didnt mind paying for the licence due to the benefits. Then you integrated skype and called it skype for business and removed the decent functionality making it impossible to communicate over multiple platforms especially as i am a consultant dealing with people across the world. Now you are moving to the teams environment which means i have to pay to communicate even though i already pay for my ms subscription. You have killed skype in one fail swoop.. I will continue to use a 3rd party app like Zoom as it works and isnt a disaster and i can use for free right now and when i decide to pay it will work... Such a shame you have lost your way on skype and also you must have a really bad benefits case

We need to have video meetings with our clients, most of whom use regular Skype. Please include this on Mac and Windows, not just Windows!
Not being able to communicate with external contacts with teams is the stupidest thing I have ever come across in an "upgrade"

Communication with external parties has become extremely important to get issues resolved quickly. See the popularity of texting, Twitter, Slack, etc.
Please, please get more developers to work on the communication including chatting, between MS Teams and Skype/Skype for Business users.
Of course migrating SfB users to MS Teams will help but, there are still too many users using SfB.
