Improve audio notifications
VOLUME: The sound is too low!! Most people don't think it's even on. Let us customize the sound level, please.
UNIQUE SOUNDS FOR CALLS VS CHATS/MESSAGES: Right now sounds are all or nothing. This is not good. For example, you may want to have sound for Calls but not for chat or messages. There is a difference when you need to hear that someone is calling you – versus getting the constant bing/bing/bing on message chat.
UNIQUE SOUND FOR PRIVATE CHAT: It would be nice to have different sounds for private chat and notifications, so that its easy to know what's coming in without having to look at it.
The team has updated the default sound for Teams notifications so it is more noticeable. We are in final testing, with a goal to release the new sound by the end of this quarter.

Any updates??? We just transferred over to this and can barely hear the sound! PLEASE FIX SOON!

Please allow us to turn off sounds for chat notifications, but leave them on for incoming calls. It is very annoying when you get hundreds of messages per day.
This is the single reason I can't stand using MS Teams. It's basically impossible to hear notifications. PLEASE fix this!

I have loss of hearing and though I wear hearing aids , the notification tone/sound is inaudible to me . The ability to change it to something I can hear is of the upmost importance

It's a little disturbing that MS replaced Skype with Teams, is making that mandatory, and STILL ignoring a top user complaint for over a year.

We need to be able to do the following:
* Adjust the sound volume.
* Change the sounds.
* Adjust the toast messages to stay up and the time in which its displayed

With MS Teams Is seems ridiculous that there is no volume control or notification options..at all. Skype is easy to hear but with MS Teams, missing messages due to the low tone notifications is not acceptable; some of us don't hear those tones well. This should not be that difficult to integrate some form of control over this. Versatility is MUCH needed.
This is a must-have feature, else people will not use it.

Now that we can't use Skype for Business we are forced to use Teams for IMs. The volume is so low that it is unusable. Please have an option to increase the volume and possibly change the notification tone.

Please enable the option of sounds for notifications! I don't pay any attention to the bar, and there are users out there who completely hide it. Most of the time I don't realize someone has sent me a message until an hour later.
It completely defeats the purpose of having this feature. Can you please enable notifications the same way it is for Skype Business?
C'mon! this is basic stuff guys! Please get this done.
The following seemed to work for me:
- From your user 'picture' select Settings
- Select group Notifications
- In section 'Other' change 'Notification Sounds' to 'Off'
How many votes are needed to get this basic feature implemented?

My team members have been asking for this. One is not always glued to the screen and need to be able to hear notifications.
I've seen this a few different ways but overall notification control could be improved. The following features would earn major points from me:
- allow me to change notification settings for calls, teams, group chats, private chats individually
- allow me to change the notification sound for these different categories
- allow me to change banner behavior
Those 3 would be great. right now I miss so many messages because the sound isn't loud enough to overcome the volume of other things (namely music) on my computer (I'm on mac). Of course I check my messages from time to time but 5 minutes of me being unresponsive in an emergency can be dangerous.
Don't hold your breath. Microsoft never makes changes that users want, they think they know what is best for you.
We've been using Teams for about 5 months now, and sound is the single reason we HATE it.
I might be great for managers and executives who just check in from time to time - but in a front-line environment where this is a tool used real-time for a large group of people, it's horrible.
Sound is too low no matter how you adjust it and messages are not being attended in a timely manner.
Sound randomly stops working all together for no reason and only rebooting PC will resolve.
This matter has supposedly been under review with developers for more than 6 months now with no updates or resolution, so I guess it's not too important that we be able to use the program effectively.
Considering a return to S4B.
Looks like the last update is almost 6 months old any additional feedback here; as we prepare to move off of S4B to Teams this is the biggest detraction we hear from our end user community.
