Improve audio notifications
VOLUME: The sound is too low!! Most people don't think it's even on. Let us customize the sound level, please.
UNIQUE SOUNDS FOR CALLS VS CHATS/MESSAGES: Right now sounds are all or nothing. This is not good. For example, you may want to have sound for Calls but not for chat or messages. There is a difference when you need to hear that someone is calling you – versus getting the constant bing/bing/bing on message chat.
UNIQUE SOUND FOR PRIVATE CHAT: It would be nice to have different sounds for private chat and notifications, so that its easy to know what's coming in without having to look at it.
The team has updated the default sound for Teams notifications so it is more noticeable. We are in final testing, with a goal to release the new sound by the end of this quarter.
I agree! I would love to have the ability to change the notification sounds. It would help to better decipher what the alert is for and to better hear it.
Yes, this needs to be added to Teams. I have already had questions about this from coworkers requesting a louder/different notification sound in Teams.
Me too, the sound interrupts skype calls or music that I'm listening to. I don't need the sound as I can see the message pop up.

I cannot hear my Teams notifications. The banner alone is hardly visible. I need to be able to audibly hear a message come in. I have sound setting to "ALL" but it is not working. My volume is up 50%, should be more than enough volume to hear a notification. Also, I don't see an option to TEST notification alerts. That could be helpful.
Can we have Teams setting to make the audio notifications user definable?
allow changing the sound of notifications
Same issue. Hard of hearing and never know when someone is pinging me. PLEASE FIX!!

The thing I liked about Skype is I could have a call ring on my laptop speakers but take the call from my Plantronics headset. As it is, I do not get an audible warning a call is coming in - thus I miss them.
how I can put a sound when I get a message?please help

Why not just add Team Notification sounds to the list of Microsoft sounds in Windows 10? Then people who want/need something "more obtrusive" can simply edit the sound.
I'm new to Teams and I really like what I see. But it's all useless if it can't my attention when someone needs me.

I'm using Slack for one of my projects and trying to use Teams for another. I never miss a Slack notification, but I almost always miss the Teams notifications due to the low volume / subtle sound. Please enhance this capability to allow for configurable sounds and volume!
Please provide a status update on this feature request. 10 months seems like an ample review period.
I work with a lot of older folks in the public sector who keep wanting to revert to Skype and this is one of the major reasons. Please make the sound customizable as it is in Skype or they will want to continue using that instead. It will also help me be alerted to when a message comes in. Thank you.
This obviously has been going on for a while. Even with my volume turned way up I can't hear this sound. Please fix this issue and offer multiple options.
Please enable the ability to change the notification sounds, especially a different sound for specific teams.
No tiene sonido al momento de llegar una notificación tanto de un msg como de una junta.
The tool doesnot have a notification(sound) when arrive some msg or chat.

I'm not sure what's taking so long on this? Clearly the notifications need to be more customizable...

I would also like the ability to change the notification sounds for the web app and the desktop app. I frequesntly get time-critical messages and don't notice them.
/agree I want to boos the volume!!!
I've tried multiple configurations and nothing is producing the desired behavior. i've used two different speakers: a usb soundbar and also 3.5 mm jack speakers. when they were plugged in they were set to default device. i have a usb headset plugged in and set as default comms device.
In Teams my device settings are both set for the headset.
In the OS my output is my speakers and my input is a device that is not the headset.
Every sound (browser, system) comes out of my speakers, even the ringback if I'm calling out in Teams, but the Call Incoming notification only rings in the headset.
