Improve audio notifications
VOLUME: The sound is too low!! Most people don't think it's even on. Let us customize the sound level, please.
UNIQUE SOUNDS FOR CALLS VS CHATS/MESSAGES: Right now sounds are all or nothing. This is not good. For example, you may want to have sound for Calls but not for chat or messages. There is a difference when you need to hear that someone is calling you – versus getting the constant bing/bing/bing on message chat.
UNIQUE SOUND FOR PRIVATE CHAT: It would be nice to have different sounds for private chat and notifications, so that its easy to know what's coming in without having to look at it.

The team has updated the default sound for Teams notifications so it is more noticeable. We are in final testing, with a goal to release the new sound by the end of this quarter.

1. Please PLEASE *PLEASE* give us the option to turn off the banner and have ONLY the sound. I prefer my chats "popped out" but every time I accidentally hit that stupid banner it opens the APP instead of the ACTIVE chat window. Sorry for the all caps but this is driving me nuts.
2. As others are requesting, PLEASE give us the option to modify the notification sound. Like most folks I am working from home and the tiny little "ding" is easily missed if I'm listening to music or an audiobook. This is 2020 - we should have MORE options, not less.

Alex, what exactly have you been doing to fix this? I don't see many recent comments from you. Maybe some from April. It's been months. Just fix it. It's 2020, about to be 2021, and you want to try to tell me I cannot change the sounds in an instant messenger app? Oh please. FIX IMMEDIATELY!

I need banner to stay open until I close it. In Skype I always knew if I had a message when I return to my desk. I Teams the banner is gone in a few seconds. And why isn't there a notification in the Win 10 notification feature, lower right on task bar?

Unlink banners and sounds.
If I'm sharing my screen in a meeting I don't need everybody seeing any sensitive HR or commercial messages coming in. BUT if I disable banners, I don't get any notification s tones.
Don't require me to change my notification settings every time I have a meeting. Do Not Disturb doesn't fully solve the problem as this is not an issue limited to screen sharing in meetings - colleagues often stop by my desk to talk through a problem

My dog is the calmest most relaxed dog ever. but he gets so stressed and goes absolutely nuts with the new chat notification sound. i dont know why but he hears it and jumps on top of me shaking. i can't believe there is not way to customize the sound. so i have to turn it off completely and will miss important messages as a result.

Please have sound notifications activated for private chats and team chats. It will be good to have options to choose a sound, like we have for ring tones in a cell phone. The notifications are not too helpful, as its the option of banner (I don't want it popping up when my screen is shared) , email (it gets lots ) and feed (all the activity is there and in 2 months the feed is becoming too full)

I must be in the minority here. I want a way to change the "Default Bing" because it is way too loud and obnoxious! I want to change it to a different tone all together because the current tone startles me if I am reading something in a spreadsheet and am deep in thought.

I also have a MacBook Pro and no sound notification is coming from the application that was downloaded. the sounds and camera works fine during a meeting, just no notification sounds at all within the app for OSX. Please fix this, or we must go back to using Slack.

What is the current status? I would like to have individual sound settings for calls / messages. I want to turn sound notifications OFF and leave the call sound on. Why is it bundled?

I cant hear the notification sound at max 100% volume! this is insane and impossible to do work. Fix this. Add a volume adjustment setting and a setting to pick different sounds!

Please allow us to customize it. The sound is awful.

Any status on this? Last Admin update was in February for something to be released in that quarter. It's almost Q3.

Different people have different hearing capabilities. I have several users that cannot physically hear the default notification sound due to the low frequency and have no way to change it. This is a serious oversight on the developers part.

Yes, Please, please, please update the notification sounds, even make them customizable so I can know my notification from my co-workers. Also I need to know if it is a Chat which has priority, vs a Team or Activity notification, which I can address later. Such a productivity killer to always be reacting to a nothing post in a Team I don't care about, but am forced to be on.

YES YES YES!!! There should be a way for the user to set sounds/banners/etc individually for different incoming data. (calls/messages/mentions/etc)
It is very frustrating to be working at my desk, away from my computer, and not know when someone is trying to contact me.
The so-called "notification" that Teams now uses is so quiet that it is barely noticeable. Any background noise at all cancels out the sound of the notification.
Please allow more user options so we can customize the notifications to our individual needs?? -

I would like to have an option to enable sound notification BUT not the banners in TEAMS.
