Tag for status updates
Skype for Business supports tagging for status updates. It's a really buried feature, but one that is really helpful when trying to get in touch with someone. Would love to make this more easily available in Microsoft Teams to be better able to catch people as they become available (e.g. know when they come in in the morning, when they finish their current meeting, etc.).
I’m excited to announce that this feature is in internal testing, and should be coming soon! Thanks!~ Alex
I'm using teams 1.2.00.26774 and I see "Notify when available" only on users belonging to my organization.
Is there something to do to have the same feature on external users?

Has this been fully released to GA?
When is this being released? I still don't see it
Any news about this feature. If it is here I don't know how to activate it.

A simpler, more intuitive right-click approach would be much more user friendly- there are too many clicks and moves to get to where you want.
Why access "settings" at all when the options could just be displayed directly via right-click --> sub menu etc for most general use items...
Other than that - getting there :)
Are we ready to roll out the new features. Anytime line ?

UPDATE: I spoke too soon - I see "Notify when available" on the ... menu for any individual in Chat. Silent rollout, @Alex?
It would be great if access to this feature wasn't just at the bottom of Teams Settings > Notifications > Status - but let you flag individuals in the context of chat or channel convos. There is an occasional prompt that lets you do it, but this would make it more convenient (and similar to the Skype for Business experience).

This has been in testing for a long time it seems. It is the biggest gap still to close from Skype for Business. When do we get it?

It's already published, we are using it now. Can you try it to get the updates installed and verify again?

When would this be available?
Afradi to say, but this is really being frustrating now. :(
Please add this feature. I used it all the time in Skype for Business, and not having it in Teams is a real miss.
good grief; does anyone at MS do UI reviews?
So I have to add someone to my Contact favorites just to toggle whether or not I get notified of availability?
At least add the option to the contact brought up by Search.
Ideally anywhere I can right-click and get Chat | Email | ORgChart | VideoCall | Audio Call options, I should be able to toggle Notifications.
To many unnecessary functions in new MS Teams/to much noise (the fact that it can be invent, does not mean it will be used) and then exclude a really handy tagging function ...however, when will this be available?

Is there any update with regards to testing. Acknowledge this would be a great feature.

@Justin, it's released. In Teams, if you go to Chat >Contacts, you can right click on user and select "Notify when Available"

It seems there is a limit of only 15 contacts at a time that can be added to status update notifications.
When I try to add any more, the popup notification I get is:
"Failed to add a contact
Can not add more than 15 contacts into th..."
No further details; clicking on the notification just clears it.

Has this feature been released yet?
I recently discovered this feature and it's great! Happy to see it's coming to Teams.
