Stuck in a login loop after password change
I recently change my system password, with MS Teams is already up and running in the background. I open Teams to check new messages, and it locks the app with the pop up "Can you please sign in again? Sorry for any inconvenience. Login Now"
I click Login Now but all it does is restarting MS Teams and show me the same message. I am unable to re-authenticate. I've tried restarting the application, that didn't work.
I had to right click on the systray icon to logout and re-login. I should be able to re-login when the app prompted "Login Now"

Thank you for your feedback, we have fixed the issue in regards to token expiration for builds after 1.3.00.4461. If you change your password, you should no longer get stuck in a login loop.

It's insane that this hasn't been fixed three years later.

I tried logging in with password sent to me by my college and then the Microsoft team kept hinting me that I need to reset password that the old password has expired, so I did so.. I changed the password, wrote the new password down in a book to remember and then logged out of microsoft yesterday.
Now I’m trying to log in and the Microsoft app is telling me that my ID or password is incorrect..... I have tried over 10 times and it keeps telling me thesame. Then it brought out a link to reset password. I clicked on it but it wasn’t successful coz the app says it’s just administrators that can reset password. Now it’s telling me I am temporarily locked out. -

I have downloaded and installed the Mac version of Microsoft Teams. Upon launching the application I attempt to log in using my work account. I continually get the following message:
"Can you please sign in again? Sorry for any inconvenience."
Each time I click the "Login Now" button that is displayed, I loop through the same message and am unable to complete the login. I am able to log into the application on a Windows 10 machine. Any suggestions on how to correct this?
Thanks.

I was unable to log out and did not have the option to chose a different username to log in too. SO for those who cant clear the local users credentials and are stuck in a loop. Go to Control Panel\User Accounts\Credential Manager and look for the msteams_adalsso and delete them all. Looks like teams stores the credentials there.

Hello, teenagers doing school work remotely as schools closed down. Teams login is stuck in a loop and times out "Sorry but we are having problems signing you in. AADSTS900561: The endpoint only accepts POST requests. Receivied a GET request. " Also getting AADSTS50196: The server terminated an operation because it encountered a client request loop. Please contact your app vendor."...
Please advise, have several teams doing remote school - and they are unable to USE/LOGIN to TEAMS - which was working perfectly yesterday!?? -

We have sign-in frequency enabled to x Hours to enforce MFA authentication (currently in testing)
This is happening so far when the request happens while the device is locked. Unlock device, click the sign-in prompt and get stuck in the loop. Very frustrating either way.

Very disappointing, I am trying to get my sales team off skype and onto Teams as suggested by Microsoft, but I can't due to this issue. They have enough problems with their password changes and VPN.

This is unacceptable. Why has this simple thing gone unaddressed? It's been 3 years, devs.
Use Sean Herm's workaround posted on the 4 March 2020.

UserVoice more like UserSILENCE .. because MS don't want to hear... 3 years ... really.
Well in my company as well. This works for us .. AS A WORKAROUND!
1. When login screen prompts with your email, type in any email and click sign in.
2. When it prompts you with password, click sign in with another account.
3. Type in your email and password. It should work now. -

3 years after it was first reported and still no fix? This internet/cloud/whatever needs a janitor. this worked for me:
1. Right click teams icon on system tray
2. Click sign out
3. When login screen prompts with your email, just followed the guide with my email and password -

3 years after this critical issue has been reported and...nothing happened. What about trying to fix it instead of adding new emojis, for example, please?
