Allow us to turn of flashing taskbar notifications
Flashing taskbar notifications are a bit annoying, and it would be nice to have the option to turn off that flashing (while keeping popup notifications enabled).
Please teams... Please switch off the ******* notificaitons.
All the while the the blinking in notifications continues and isn't able to be prevented in setting Teams will remain un-inclusive for neurodiverse colleagues in particular.
Turning off this annoying feature is a must. It is distracting promotes task-switching, reduces focus and goes against all advice for being productive.
Please fix it, at least one in ten of us are neurodiverse!
Please, try to fix this issue because it is very annoying and disturb too much.
Please fix this. Just give us a badge icon like every other app would do. The flashing is so disturbing -- it just goes and goes and goes even when I am presenting in a meeting! WHY. PLEASE fix it!!
THIS IS SO COMMON SENSE! You (MS) always show advices for productivity, and then you keep the most disturbing thing ever - the BLINKING ORANGE SIGN! THE WORST THING

Please implement this change ASAP. The flashing is not productive whatsoever.
I'd like personally like the icon to get a badge for a new message instead of having it flash only once (I'd be fine with it flashing until answered, but I can see from this topic that others may find that annoying). This way I'm certain to eventually see the new notification - with a single flash, if you miss it, it's gone.
Hopefully, a badge would also be less annoying for those who find the flash objectionable.
I find the flashing icon very distracting. Can you please provide an option to have it only flash once. Thank you for your consideration.
How is this not fixed yet? PLEASE. PLEASE. Over 700 users are begging you. Just add a toggle on the settings page. ANYTHING.
pleaseeeee allow us to turn this off
please please oh please. flashing taskbar icons and programs that "steal" focus (both mental, and actual cursor) are small things that just incite hate for microsoft. easy fixes! c'mon MS, this is low hanging fruit for making your userbase happy.

This is soo annoying! I wish we had stayed on Slack, out of my hands though.
For now I shutdown Teams on Windows and run it on the phone.
Oh my god how is this still not a thing we can just easily set inside the application? The solutions given are to edit the registry, which is just baffling.
First of all, it is absurd to assume that the average user is comfortable doing so.
Second, it is plain ignorat to assume that the average user in an organisation even has that kind of access on their company/organisation provided machine.
Just add the **** basic feature already! Or should I convince my public school to start using Discord instead maybe?
Turn off the flashing. I get enough notifications through-out the day and this is terrible
Stop the flashing. MS is supposed to be helping workers achieve productivity, not hindering it. The issue has been raised by numerous people over the course of 4 years. It is a productivity blocker for a large enough percentage of the population to make it worth doing something about.
New update but same problem. It is disgusting to see how many people are annoying and complaining about this point, which is so easy to implement, and how MS doesn't care about user's opinion.
Please! Such a small change will make such a big difference.
At least turn off the flashing icon in do not disturb status - it's impossible to get proper "focus time" the way this works now.
I set my taskbar on the right, and I make it very wide so I can read the window titles, with autohide turned on. When Teams makes the icon flash that covers a big part of my scrren and forces me to open Teams before I can continue what I'm doing. I don't mind the toast notifications in the bottom right - they can stay.
So four years after the original suggestion and still nothing has been done. This is how much Microsoft cares about its users.
The below PS script worked for me and is glorious!
It is so liberating not to have that incessant task bar flashing!
