Allow in-line comments to an embedded (Teams tab) OneNote or Word document.
Currently an added tab for OneNote does not allow for in-line comments. My vision is exactly what Microsoft currently does for Word Online...when a user adds a comment to a line or highlighted section in the main document it places the comment to the right side and adds a "callout" icon that maps to the actual comment to the right side area. That comment then can be sub-commented until it's flagged as "done".
Currently, a tab created for a Word document only allows read-only unless opened in locally or in Word Online. Work Online would be sufficient but there is a bug where characters are lost when other online users are editing the document. That appears to be a sync bug or some latency issue.
My suggestion is to add the commenting feature into the OneNote document tab in Teams or fix the sync bug in Word Online.
Is there an update on this feature? Sending my clients to a Shared Teams OneNote Notebook is great but the fact that there is no OneNote commenting functionality beyond using traditional inline comments is not acceptable IMHO.
