Forwarding message feature!
Title speaks for itself :) That would be really cool.
Love you, MT!

This is still under review, no decision has been made. But I will keep following up with the feature team and providing them your feedback.

What is there to "review" about this? You dropped the ball on this feature, fix it already.

Yes, it is available on mobile (iPhone) but not on the desktop client 🤷🏻♂️

Absence of forwarding a message in desktop version make no sense.

Absence of this feature is very inconvenient at times. How can this be not present in 2020 while SLACK is going so fast

How is this still unavailable at this point? It's available in the mobile app - surely more should be possible on the desktop app not less??

need to be able to select a thread, or a few messages and forward.

Agree, this and reply showing which message you are replying too (as you can do in the mobile app) needs to be implemented. 👍

Any updates on this? Would love to see this on Desktop client.
- message forwarding and image/attachment forwarding from chat to chat or even posts to chat and vica versa.

At first, I couldn't believe this was not added by default...then I go on my phone and I see the option there and I'm stunned. Why is this not added by default? Makes the desktop version stupid. I think it is just a crazy idea to be in a serious chat on my pc and then have to switch to my phone to forward a message to someone I was chatting on my pc and worse still I have to wait at least 30 seconds for the mobile app to be fully open.
I think going through that hassle just to forward a message is crazy and I think whoever thought about this did not consider user-friendliness and ease of use.
Also from an o365 security admin standpoint, I can't even see how this helps when there is no option to permit or deny the feature.

I found recently that you could transfer/forward message using the Teams Mobile application. Like the Reply function, it seems to be available on mobile but not on desktop...

There is no point in having a teams messaging platform that can't forward a chat ... having to sidestep this issue by using a mobile is stupid.

Hi, This feature would be a sensible addition to Microsoft Teams chat.
Chats where it's at.

Under review since 2018? Really? It is not even working on all messages in the mobile client. When you have attachments, it is not even working in the mobile client.

It was easily done with Skype messages as they were saved in the Conversations folder. Can something similar be done for Teams?

That is not only cool... is an absolute neccessity and not having that feature represents a huge gap with other messaging platforms...

Our company really needs this! Big loss from Skype having this feature.

How hard can this be?

I too am bemused to find that in a team chat we can't forward a decision to someone via email - or equally, easily send an email to everyone in a chat - that more formally documents a decisions discussed and potentially includes another stakeholder or third party not in the chat.... seems really silly.
