Forwarding message feature!
Title speaks for itself :) That would be really cool.
Love you, MT!
This is still under review, no decision has been made. But I will keep following up with the feature team and providing them your feedback.

why does it take years to review such a basic must-have feature?
It is there on skype - after chat - send email history for follow-up or sharing. Such a basic feature not present on Microsoft Team.. so annoying and unproductive.
Agree. Very annoying having to use snip then copy/paste to the other chat.
Reenviar un mensaje en uno de los principios básicos de mensajería, es como no tener Emojis :) en un chat.

Such a good idea for work and play. It would be useful to be able to forward a chat conversation in MS Teams to a colleague rather than the old way of copy and paste. Right-click and choose who to send it to on the Windows Desktop version.
Can we please add this feature. AND make it fully functional? I tried to forward a message via mobile (since this feature isn't available on the desktop client), while the text portion of the msg was sent, the image that was also a part of the convo was not. It's frustrating that I have to pick up a device just to use a feature that skype had naturally. My industry is fast-paced and this kind of stuff really breaks the flow of things.

basic and must have
This would be a nice feature to be able to setup to forward messages to another TEAM MEMBER when you are away.
What so difficult about.. the forwarding feature for desktop, What is the sense feedback forum if you are not listening to us.. 2017 since this post was posted and now 2021 still no forwarding feature.
nothing to review, have to be there! Forward messages and files!

yes it is a very necessary feature,.....
Being able to forward a message should be a fundamental basic feature. It's amazing how it can be overlooked on the desktop app and half-baked on the mobile ( attachments are not forwarded ).
Why am I able to do this in the Mobile app, but not the desktop app? Shouldn't the Desktop app be MORE featured??

This is available in the mobile app. Why is it not in the desktop app yet?

How is this under review for 2,5 years?!!?!?!?!? This is a feature that every messaging tool should have on it's MVP list. What's so hard about this? What is your problem Teams teams? Why is it so hard to create a basic usable tool.
Just open Slack and see how this could and should be done
Especially useful when you want to forward a screenshot a teammate sent you, to another teammate!
The only way to do this now is to download the file to your computer, then re-upload it in the other chat, which is very annoying.
It's a mandatory feature. Unusable without.
@Warren Its been more than 2 years since this request is made, and still no update? How long is this "review" process you mentioned should last?
This is a basic stuff, and always existed in your previous enterprise messaging apps like Lync, Skype for Business etc.
Forwarding function on Desktop app is a no-brainer. Please MS, get this done

👆UP! 👆UP! 👆UP! Please!
Add an option to forward message to user, teams, channels, etc...
For the sake of a good messaging app! Can you guys learn from existing platforms? Facebook? Whatsapp? Instagram?
I don't need to be a UI expert to just look around for the basics of any communication App.
I spend so much time screen-printing and pasting to an email. Of course images and links are gone, as well as copy paste. This would be important because it allows us to use teams more, in case a convo starts in email. Now I start a lot more conversations in email to begin with because this has burned me so much!
