Change which Tab is default landing page for a Team and/or Channel
Right now the conversation tab is the default landing page for a Team and/or Channel.
I want to be able to have a SharePoint site landing page in a tab and that tab be the default tab open when you navigate to a team or channel.
Think of it like a landing page for that team. You may not want it to drop right into Conversations. If you can have a SharePoint page with a Microsoft Teams conversations web part, you get the best of both worlds.
I can see a lot of scenarios where you'd want the chat window open and another tab at the same time. Rather than having to context switch. Imagine the SharePoint page tab being the way to do that by using Web Parts on a dashboard. A web part for the Microsoft Team and another web part for whatever was in another tab.
This feature is still in the backlog.
What is status of this feature? It is rather annoying to ALWAYS move from chat tab to the one I really want to use.

Please send an update - when will a different (no conversations) tab be selected for default?
It would be great if Microsoft could give an update on where this is at. It is obviously a sort after feature judging by the many requests over 2 years up until the present. An update is really not that much to ask.
...comment in 2017, backlog in 2018 ...it is now 2020, and I am here looking for the same thing, which seems a fairly obvious feature. Has it been added (I can't see a way of changing my default channel page)
Also keen for an update on this
Any update on this feature? It was on the backlog 2 years ago. What is the status?
If you can do this, our global entities can increase the use of Teams by multiple times!
Is there an update on this feature?
Yes please - this would be very helpful.

@Warren - Can we get an update on this? Is it still in the backlog? In development?
This would be an awesome feature!

Upvote! Would be super useful..
We have channels that are only used for storing files (for eg), so it would be great if we could jump straight to them as a landing page.

Hello, very useful idea, please allow to set an image or presentation.

Big star on this one. We have some training channels and would like the first thing that is seen to be an information page, such as a Wiki or a Getting started. Starting them in the Post tab can be confusing especially to those new to Teams. Was really hoping this was an existing feature...
It could be very usefull to have this feature available: i need to have the Calendar as default Landing page (specially for accounts used in Meeting Rooms).
Please give to this a priority!
Much needed! Any more recent update on where this is at?

do it please
Teams is a massive disappointment functionally. The landing page is only the tip of the iceberg. Also typical of microsoft to not listen to users.
Teams has to be the most frustrating application I've used in forever. Everything is counterintuitive. Just when you find a workaround to something, you come across the next one. This kind of thing is basic stuff. Please fix or set up a focus group with users to point out these things.
things like this should've been done upon initial release! DO IT!
OMG, this has been suggested for over two years and it is still being discussed. MSFT, make the landing page selectable. What is wrong with you people.
