What the actual ****?! Working on for a year and a half? What a lying ****.
Who's the project manager for Teams and why haven't they been fired? This feature's been in limbo for over a year. And don't even get me started on the in-app version of Word...
This is a poor showing on Microsoft's part. It's almost like they don't want to bother marketing a product competitive with Discord, Slack, et al. Cloud and Office integration are nice and all, but both were implemented in a half-hearted way. You won't set yourself apart from other products with this entry.

Working on it...since July 2018... -_-'
Being member of different Project teams it's very helpful to being asked where to store the download file

Hi any update?
You'd think best practices and standardization of look and feel among products of a leading technology firm would warrant cheap and simple reuse of an extremely well-established, decades-old, optimized, industry-standard code module for saving downloaded files. You would think that. Instead, it looks like it's cowboy development for Teams. YEE-HAW!
any updates please?
A year to develop this!
I'm extremely shocked this feature doesn't exist, but what is even more shocking is that Microsoft was supposedly working on this 16 months ago. If it took me that long to incorporate something into a project I was working on that should have been there from the beginning, I'd be looking for a new job.
Would really like this feature
Microsoft, what's taking so long?!
Also - it would be nice if you could 'drag' files out of MS teams on the computer desktop the way you can 'drag files in.'
But, one step at a time - Destination folder dialogue please!
This feature doesn't exist and #warren's "Working on it" comment is from July 06, 2018 and still after more than a year it is not available.
How many iterations does it take to include this feature?

Yes, very much needed feature.

+1 for this feature - so confused that it downloads to a local folder with no options to change this behaviour. A modern save as dialog box is urgently needed - and that plays nice on Windows and Mac.

Aaargh..I can't believe this feature is still missing.

Any update on this? the last notation of it being worked on is from July 2018
This seems like a pretty basic feature. Please elevate urgency.
