Enable sizing of file/library columns
The Files tab (a SharePoint File Library) has the file name as a first column. It's size is fixed, so long file names are "truncated". All we need is to be able to expand the column, so the names fit.
A mouse over with the full name would also be appreciated.

Long file names that share the same prefix all look the same and there is no way to distinguish between them. This limitation makes me scream inside in frustration.
Should be based on the longest file name not fixed. There are lots of time when this field is too long (the filenames are short) and there is horizontal space wasted and I can't see as many of my columns as I could if it was not fixed.

I agree with the column width situation - is there a reason the columns cannot be handle the same as they are in File Explorer? Doesn't seem as it should be that difficult to apply the same logic?
I agree - "a mouse over with the full name would also be appreciated" would be a minimum. Get rid of the extra white space between columns.
"Open in Sharepoint" has a wider column, and also a mouse over. (But both have excessive white space between the columns)
