Add Table of Contents to wiki interface
A Table of contents for a specific Wiki Page (one with plenty of sections)
Or a table of contents for multiple Wiki pages under the same Hierarchy is very important, for when your wiki becomes larger.
I have just moved to a new company and they are on Microsoft Teams. My former company used Atlalsian. I found the lack of Table of Contents feature in MS Teams wiki to be seriously hurting my productivity while reading large Wiki documentations. Table of contents are absolutely essential to me during authoring/reading if the article spans more than a single screen height. It gives me a birds eye view of the document and allows me to quickly jump to a relevant section.
I would like both options: a table of contents within a Wiki page; a table of contents across multiple Wiki pages.
If you mean something like:
I want to do this in Markdown, with links at the top of the wiki that go to different sections within the Wiki or files in our teams channel.
Can we make the lenght of table of contens items (i.e. the titles for the Pages and Sections) longer? It's truncated at a ridiculously short length on a desktop client.
Agreed that it's not intuitive.
Table of contents is hidden by default.
You should be able to "toggle" the ToC to stay on or collapse again.
The current table of contents is too hidden (clearly). Please make this more discoverable and more easily accessible when in a wiki view.
This exists! When on the wiki page, at the top left is a button that looks like a table of contents. Click it, and it shows you the section structure of the page you are viewing.
