Battery life on iOS & Android
According to iOS Battery report, Teams is responsible for 24% of my battery usage. I am not actively running or using the program, so I assume this is related to background tasks / notifications.

We are continually working on improving battery life. One thing that may help in the meantime is using Dark theme, which was a top mobile request added to Teams mobile in February.
Thanks!

As of June 2020 the battery drain persist. IOS 13.5.1 left my phone idle whole day with no background refresh for teams then check battery usage and Teams at over 20%

My battery is drained as well as my coworkers and our phones were hot to the touch. I have an iPhone 7 Plus I heard that it is not a good idea to run teams on an iPhone this old is that true?

This was much better after the iOS update to 13.4.1 but in the last week it has been worse than ever. Today my battery has been 60% used by Teams. This is an iPhone 11 Pro which was new in January.

Prepare a lighter version for android. It takes too much battery.
My battery which used to be ok for more 24 hours
Is draining in 12-13 hours after installing teams.
I cannot uninstall it as my company is using it for official communication. But 5000 Mah is not enough. Then what can we do.
The desktop version is fine.
Sometimes screensharing is not working.
Unable give or take control. -

I have not used Teams on my phone for last few days, and I had manually closed it. Regardless, Settings > Battery is showing it used 34% for “Background Activity” over the last 24 hours. I just turned off its notifications, so we’ll see what that does, otherwise I’ll just remove the app. Not worth it.
Brand new iPhone 11 Pro running 13.1.3.

Running iOS 12.4.1, Teams was on screen 3 minutes, background 20 minutes, battery use 44%.
I have to force close Teams between messages for my phone to last the work day.

I'm suffering the same issue. Teams app drained my phone battery so quickly. I used to have 90% battery. Just one hour after I turned on Teams, my phone was flat. Please priorities this issue and get if fixed as soon as possible.

Teams is responsible for half my battery drain. So I disabled polling for new updates, but I wouldn’t mind a much lower rate of polling.

Are you guys calculating primes here? This is unusable battery consumption. How did qa miss this?

Teams drains battery in minutes, this is an critical issue to be fixed now - not "continually improve".

I am running iOS 12.2 on an iPhone 8. Just yesterday 4/29/19, Teams is suddenly draining my battery at an alarming rate. 45% yesterday, today so far at 3PM it's used 33% 6m screen - 1h 15min backgd. I have closed the app, rebooted the phone and still it is draining my battery.
This is a serious problem. Please advise.
