Rearrange all Tabs within a Channel
I know a similar request is marked as "We have this!", but it's not possible to move all tabs.
I can rearrange the tabs that I add, but Conversations and Files cannot be moved.
I would like to have a channel that starts with a Planner tab, and another that starts with a Wiki tab.
Not everyone channel will be based around conversations, so it should be possible to move the Conversation and File tab to the far right.

Thank you for your votes and comments. The team has declined this ask. While Posts and Files are not able to be rearranged, all other tabs can be customized in any order. This maintains a consistent initial user experience across all channels.

Fully agree that the tabs should be more configurable. The conversations tab is somewhat annoying for us, as people tend to try and use it as our helpdesk then wonder why jobs aren't followed up!

Really need the option to change the default landing tab for a channel. We have a "Quotes" team. Would like the default tab for the "General" channel (which gets created with all teams) to be a SharePoint List that has an overview of all active quotes, bid dates, etc.

I agree - it is not possible to "move all tabs" conversations and files are stuck, and that's super annoying. The "files" tab needs to be able to be removed or at least moved to the far right so it isn't visible, because the SharePoint Document Library tab is much more useful than the default "Files" tab, as it actually, you know, gives you the files on the SP site.

In our team we want to remove Files and instead use a new tab displaying the website of the (same) sharepoint document library. By doing this we don't have the annoying issue with random sorting, and also we can add links to other libraries in the same folder as our own documents. But as long as the original "Files" tab remains there is a risk that the users use this tab instead of the one we want them to use.

For my Team, Files is the most important, I'd like to see the files tab first.

Absolutely! I'm going to highjack Wiki to make a home page with links to the key resources, which even me, the owner and formerly corporate IT trainer, had trouble finding. Now that I found them, the GUI requires so many clicks I'm literally getting a sore arm switching to teams. I love the ability to design a home page with embedded webparts in Sharepoint.

Agree. We have channels used to provide information and would like users to land on or use the information first. The information provides links to the appropriate files. Each is set up to provide feedback, but prefer the Conversations and Files tabs be moved to the right.

I agree with this need. We have a 'General' tab where all files and (most) conversations take place. We need to be able to remove the Files and Conversations tab from other channels. This prevents confusion on where files should be stored.
An added benefit would be the reduced number of auto-created folders on the Sharepoint side. Now, a folder is created in SP for each new channel that is created - even if we don't plan on storing any files there.

Agreed, I have one channel in a team that is primarily file driven and I want the file tab to be first. I would also like to hide the conversation channel in some channels to drive the conversations in one place instead of having to look in a bunch of different places in the same team.

Agreed! I have to go to my planner to start with but I use my different channels for different coordination groups on the project

I agree, not all team activities focus around conversations. This should certainly be a configurable option.

This would be a great feature, so that channels that are not used for conversations don't require unnecessary clicking.
