Rearrange all Tabs within a Channel
I know a similar request is marked as "We have this!", but it's not possible to move all tabs.
I can rearrange the tabs that I add, but Conversations and Files cannot be moved.
I would like to have a channel that starts with a Planner tab, and another that starts with a Wiki tab.
Not everyone channel will be based around conversations, so it should be possible to move the Conversation and File tab to the far right.
Not all teams require collaborative conversations. Planners, forms, files are often teh common interface for team members. Please allow the conversation tab to moved back to allow important/relevant tabs to be moved forward.

We don't use the "Conversations" or "Files" tabs so much, as we try to point some of our (slightly technophobic) team members to precisely the content they need. I don't mind it existing, I don't even mind if I can't make it invisible (but that would be an option, to be honest). But this (along with the badly named and unnecessary "General" channel) are Microsoft imposing its working practices on users. Let me at least move it.
And please please please please please let me at least rename the "General" channel -- I could use it for something then, instead of it just getting in the way.

ABsolutely!~ Need to be able to manage the view so it's relevant to the use of the channel. Many of my channels should start with the Wiki, not Conversations...
Agree, need to order and pin tabs for our own preferences/needs
PLUS - is this a bug ? - currently when I move tabs they don't stay in the sequence I select!
I see other peoples comments regarding files and conversations cant be moved - fair enough - but it sounds like others are successfully ordering the rest of their tabs and nobody has said they have any issues with that. But when I order my tabs, they seem to randomly jump out of sequence afterwards. Am I missing something?

Agreed, this is an extremely basic capability. Customizing your first view in a team productivity tool is so 101 it's hard to believe this is still lacking.

I realized Teams needed this capability within the first 10 minutes of use. It's a shame such a needed and seemingly basic tab-related feature hasn't been implemented yet.
I have a feeling Microsoft is wanting to have Conversations and File in the same location no matter what channel you are on. If they aren't willing to budget on that, at least let us pick a default tab to view first.
I guess I'll continue to painfully click off the Conversations tab every time I navigate to a channel.
When is this being updated? We want and need to land on the Wiki tab, not the conversations tab!
Completely agree with this. We need to land on the files tab
Another vote for this

Exactly, my team needs to land on the files tab not conversations tab.
Another vote to allow all tab manipulation, hide, move, rename, lock...clear chat history or archive.

Seriously, for the love of God, why does Microsoft act like a rinky, **** Mom and Pop, 2 person employee company instead of the multi-trillion dollar conglomerate it is and listen to its users. Many of the requests I see for Teams could be coded in a weekend.
The least they can do is actually be responsive to users comments and suggestion. It takes months just to get any feedback whatsoever.
This basic functionality was suggested almost 29 months ago and is still not implemented!

Please add this function so it sets the right home page for the team. Why is it taking over 2 years to get something that is very basic to UX?
This is related to the link but the other has more votes.
Michael Haggerty commented
Yes! It would be nice to rearrange and reorder the Tabs based on importance and that includes moving Conversations and Files.
Voting as we'd like to see this changed
We need this function, too.
This was the first request/comment/concern of many of our first time users. Please implement soon.
Yeah, this is pretty bad.
So annoying for users.
