Rearrange all Tabs within a Channel
I know a similar request is marked as "We have this!", but it's not possible to move all tabs.
I can rearrange the tabs that I add, but Conversations and Files cannot be moved.
I would like to have a channel that starts with a Planner tab, and another that starts with a Wiki tab.
Not everyone channel will be based around conversations, so it should be possible to move the Conversation and File tab to the far right.

Thank you for your votes and comments. The team has declined this ask. While Posts and Files are not able to be rearranged, all other tabs can be customized in any order. This maintains a consistent initial user experience across all channels.

Three years later ..... and still not able to perform the basic functionality of moving / removing Tabs as and where needed. We are being forced to use Teams - RIP Skype. Let Teams work for us.

Please! I'm tired of having to click off Posts tab first to get to Files. Let me set the default to what I need, i.e., Files tab and move Posts down to the end or remove it as we don't use it.

My partners do not like using teams due to the extra clicks this requires to get to files. they bypass your product and go straight to sharepoint to get to files.

Yeah - this feature would add vastly the user experience on using the channels if discussions would not be as forced first one.

This seems so basic to have control on which tab is the default within a channel.

How is this not a thing yet?

Not being able to move the Posts and Files tabs in Teams adds waste into my workday. Having to click through to the appropriate tab for each Team and each channel is inefficient and time consuming. Even if it only take a second per channel, going back and forth between the 7 teams with multiple channels on a daily basis adds up to a lot of time wasted.

Please add this functionality to rearrange ALL tabs in a channel. This seems so basic yet it's almost three years later and this still hasn't been implemented, where is the support MS?!

YES agree - have only just started using teams but certainly being able to move tabs about within channels, so can customise which tab I see first for which channel would be very helpful!

YES! Please... most of my channels need to have a SmartSheet first, then the conversation.

I understand Teams is a communication tool, but I don't see why discussion posts have to be priority? We are able to change our own added tabs, why not all tabs? We should be given the choice and not have this decision forced upon us.
My reason for wanting to change is if I add a tab that links to a seperate SharePoint Site Page, it asks for authentication, however, if I open the Team Home tab first, then click on my seperate SharePoint Site Page tab, authentication is no longer required, as it then knows I have permission to view? Not sure why needing to click on the Home tab resolves this issue?

Agreed, the ability to move tabs to fit individual requirement - be that Files first, Wiki etc - is basic and essential for the end user experience.

YES please - still a priority. Our scenario is that we'd like our official 'news' as the first tab

YES! We want this, too. Multiple groups here in our org have also requested this feature. We want to truly determine our users' experience. Thanks.

Our company uses teams and would like the Files tab first.

We are an architecture firm trying to use Teams as a kick-off point for our projects. We would like to host a project dashboard from a PowerApp as the first tab in all of our project teams.

Not all teams require collaborative conversations. Planners, forms, files are often teh common interface for team members. Please allow the conversation tab to moved back to allow important/relevant tabs to be moved forward.

We don't use the "Conversations" or "Files" tabs so much, as we try to point some of our (slightly technophobic) team members to precisely the content they need. I don't mind it existing, I don't even mind if I can't make it invisible (but that would be an option, to be honest). But this (along with the badly named and unnecessary "General" channel) are Microsoft imposing its working practices on users. Let me at least move it.
And please please please please please let me at least rename the "General" channel -- I could use it for something then, instead of it just getting in the way.

ABsolutely!~ Need to be able to manage the view so it's relevant to the use of the channel. Many of my channels should start with the Wiki, not Conversations...
