Surface Hub Extensibility
Microsoft Team currently doesn't run on Surface Hub :-(
when I clicked Join Online it's asking me to download the app however the app is not compatible with Surface Hub.
As of June 21, 2018, Microsoft Teams for Surface Hub is now in preview for Windows Insiders. https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-teams-surface-hub-enters-preview-insiders

Nor can you pin a participant

Currently the Surface Hub is capable of connecting to Microsoft Teams meetings with audio, video, and content sharing. There is no local app experience for accessing Channels, Conversations, Files, etc. This can only be accessed through the browser at the moment. It would be ideal if the current Microsoft Teams experience would be expanded to include the other collaboration features in Microsoft Teams.

this is a needed feature!!

I cannot believe that this needs to be requested. Teams deciding to run a meeting with a Surface Hub hasn't featured as a use case in Microsoft's world?
Surface Hubs cannot be invited to Teams 'meet now' sessions unless they are a member of that Team. Can this be changed so that the functionality is inline with a normal user account that can be added to a Teams 'meet now' meeting and doesn't have to be a member of that Team. This request was suggested by Microsoft support in relation to incident 119080624000882.
One of the limitations of the Teams App in Surface Hub is you cannot set the speaker output in the Surface Hub in Teams App.
Hopefully, the Surface Hub Product Group and Teams Group will fix it. Cheers.
This problem is likely caused by a third party SSO. Can you confirm? We ended up renaming the account to ____@____.onmicrosoft.com as a test, and it signed in as expected. As you now the onmicrosoft domain will bypass ADFS/SSO.
Would be nice if the product team commented on this. We have a case open with support, who are now tying to set up our identical environment to repro it for the product team. The support team is struggling with setting up the environment...and honestly, what a waste of time. Our SSO is on a list of supported SSO providers....and therefore we expect that product teams are testing against it. If they're not, then publicly come out and say you don't support third party sso for MS Teams + Surface Hub.

I've seen in it Screenshots but it's not in the current builds. I know Microsoft is getting rid of hockey App but can we not get a bit faster iteration through Windows insiders. The desktop app has a technical preview feature. All of people in my organisation are complaining about this. We cant copy whiteboard Web links into the chat... Nor can we communicate silently while someone is speaking. Please find a way to get this implemented asap

Yes, the chat option is not there. Will this coming in next release? This is definitely needed.

When I join a Teams meeting as a Guest from my Surface Hub I am unable to present my screen to the meeting. The Present Screen icon is greyed out. With Skype for Business it is possible to grant "presenter" rights to a guest in a meeting - Teams should also have this capability.
surely this cannot be the case? its the core of teams?? keen to know if this is misconfiguration or a limitation.
At present, When using Teams with a Surface Hub under Preview (windows insider) - there is no ability to see the meeting Chat space from the hub. You can call and video/ share content etc/ but no chat???
Jeff Allen commented
I downloaded the preview and it kept crashing and didn't launch. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still didn't launch. I even rebooted the Surface Hub and it wouldn't work. :-(
teams should be on surface hub... cmon this is a no brainer

Compared to Cisco Spark Board, Microsoft need to rework to be able to use with MS teams easily and swap to another device the current meeting via MS Teams app (android/ ios) ..

I have always been a microsoft fan since 1982.
Surface Hub is a Great Tool but the Microsoft Team who designed the software environment COMPLETELY FAILED.
1. There should be an option to select whether or not to reset memory after each session.
2. There should be an option to have the Surface Hub as part of a domain and accessing
the data on the network.
3. There should be a way to select to install third-party software out of the App Library.
It is the first time that I have a Great Tool and that I am feeling defrauded.
