Wiki needs image embedding
I was working on a wiki article for a channel and wanted to embed a picture. The best I could do was paste a URL. I would like to embed an image in sharepoint or just a plain image from my pc so I can talk about it in the wiki section and aid the reader understand better.
This is done! Users can now paste an image directly into Wiki to have it embed properly. We’re rolling out a feature in the next day or two to allow users to then resize that image. We’re completing work to allow users to insert an image natively without using copy / paste, that should be completed by end of year.
If you have any trouble with this feature, just tweet me at @skprufo.

Confluence has made massive inroads into sharepoint's marketspace because of this missing ability.
Will this be available for on-prem when it's delivered?
Any apdate? Images & videos are essentials for wikis. Hope to see these very soon.
I can paste images into the Content area of a Wiki section, but once they're in there, I have no control on them. Stuff appears to autosize and is often too small to be useful.
I don't see this in the O365 roadmap, Normally it should be listed there as under development.. Do you have any ETA when this will come
No way it takes this long to add image embedding... Are we going to get anything in 2017 other than Outlook integration?
Hi Suphatra - Any update on the release date?

Please give us an update about this feature. Would go back to confluence if this is not working.
Hi, this is a feature desperately required by my team, and one of the things needed to try and convince them to stay away from using slack. Update please ....
Still waiting in October. Huhuhuu...
The embedding of image, audio, video will all help. It is required...
By can we have this?

My company has also stopped using MS Teams Wiki, especially because of this missing feature... would be nice to get some new information about the progress?

I love the idea of having a wiki integrated within a collaborative workspace for my team. However, the lack of rudimentary features within this platform is annoying. I started building a wiki and hit a hard stop upon this realization that I can't do something as simple as embedding an image. Any update as to when this will be available?

Can't wait. such a basic feature, isn't it ?
Last post on 19 june.....
+1 - After a release saying Teams is taking over from Skype for business, etc. there is still no embedded images support.
What a joke. Going back to #slack. Can't trust the release, or obviously the support (June?!!!?).
Still not avilable????
Suphatra, you said this was "on its way" back in Jun! 3 months later, all I see is basic thumbnail. I don't understand how this can be MS 2017 tech - more like Netscape from 1990...
What is the update for embedding images into the wiki?
No Wiki can come along without images!

Would .gif's be supported as well?
