Allow hyperlinking to network drive locations
While you are currently able to hyperlink to any https:// address, hyperlinks to \-mapped drives does not work. having the ability to do this would be a huge help for a company that has a sophisticated network drive setup for everyone to access

This is a must have. As well as opening file locations in browsers.

it would be really helpful for all of us this feature

Please add this capability to the chat feature... It makes meetings easier then say having to send a separate email while you are in a meeting.

Really key capability, can’t believe it’s still missing
Wonder if I should go back to Skype?
I am seeing this from 2017, so am hoping that 3 years later it is possible. So, how do i do this?

This would be amazing.
Users ask for this constantly.

Please. Make this happen.
This would still be amazing to have, please!
+1 for sure. Very frustrating not being able to do this.
please make this happen!
This function is used daily in Skype and definitely makes life more difficult now that we cannot do this... Are there any updates? I see the request was originally posted in 2017 which doesn't make me feel too warm and fuzzy about it...

Just started exploring Teams as we continue to work remotely...and the inability to link to our network drive so that we are not duplicating existing files by uploading them to Teams is enfuriating to me...after only 24 hours of use!
It would be extremely helpful if we were able to simply link to existing files so we can access it without the aforementioned duplication (which is seemingly the only way to work it currently?!)...
would be very helpful...

How, when this suggestion was posted over 3 years ago, does this still not work?
It is an absolute basic to use hyperlinks for network folders and files.
I still don't like the way Outlook changes my typed link of I:\Projects to its full network path, but I can at least see why it does that, but at least IT DOES THAT unlike Teams which doesn't seem to even consider people using networks.
Come on Microsoft, none of us have much say in what software our companies choose, nor what great idea you'll come up with next, but at least get the basics included in them...please!

Also, please add this feature to the Planner app that you can add in Teams tabs, would be helpful to assign docs that are awaiting signatures and such
