Mass add users to a channel or team
Please add mass add users to a channel or team.
Like we use on other Office 365 services. email@domain;email@domain and (if possible) @everyone something like that.
I'm using and loving Microsoft Teams :-)
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for your feedback and comments! The team is looking into how best to do this. We will post an update here as we have more to share.

Please add this feature. I'd like to copy a list of email addresses into a MS Teams invite just like I can do in an Outlook email

Bulk adding of users should be base-functionality of creating any group in any software. Please add this ASAP!

Definitely necessary to be able to manage private channel users.

Specifically the ability to pull in Outlook email distribution lists into chat and teams would be wonderful!

I regularly have to add a set of a few dozen people as members to a Team. Usually I have a list of their email addresses and SharePoint, I would just paste in the email addresses (; separated) i the 'New user' field. But that does not work in Teams: I have to add them one by one via the 'Add member' button. Many of our Teams owners have asked for this as well when they set up a new Team or welcome a larger group of new colleagues; they can hardly believe me when I tell them there is no other way at this point. Please give us the option to paste in a list of email addressen in the user interface (no PowerShell; it has to work for "innocent" Team owner)

It says that we can add members through a group created in office 365 admin. However, I created groups from Active directory and from Microsoft 365 admin center. I can see the groups in Microsoft 365 admin center but none of them can be found when I tried to add members in a team.

This would be very helpful when we create meetings in a channel. Currently, upon creating the meeting, only those that get invited actually have time scheduled on their calendar. Creating a meeting in a channel should either A) Auto-invite the entire channel/team, B) Auto-pull the event to their calendars so they can see an event is happening in a channel/team they are subscribed to, or C) allow us to @team or @channel from the event invite.

Definitely need this! I'm creating Teams now with 100 members...taking forever without a way to do it in bulk

Every time we kick off a new project we are adding 30-40 internal and external users to a team, and then sub-dividing into appropriate channels. Being able to do this through an excel spreadsheet or CSV would be a huge time saver.

Please add the function to add someone to multiple sites/private channels at once. I use Teams for staff support in a university and it's a pain when I have to add someone one by one to all the sites/channels. Thanks.

There needs to be a way to bulk-add names to teams. A CSV upload would be ok, but simply being able to paste multiple email addresses would be ideal.

Manage members should offer to sort members alphabetically.

1) When a team is clicked in the left pane the right pane does not change. It changes only when the General channel is clicked. The right pane should change as soon as the team is selected.
2) There should be an option to copy-paste selected or all ([Ctrl]+A) the members from one team to another.
3) While adding members to a channel a list with check-boxes should pop so that members can be ticked and selected. There should also be a provision to select or de-select all. -

In outlook, you can paste in a series of names or emails, press alt+k and vupti you have all the contacts added to the meeting. How can it be you have to manually copy every single name, one at a time, into teams?? This is a big lack of functionality

Its a joke that you cant add AD groups to private channels...We are halfway through 2020 and still no solution. We are seriously considering going away from Teams because of the added administrative efforts needed when trying to maintain user groups across dozens of channels

We really need to be able to mass add members in Teams, We have a project with 450 schools. Over 2000 participants. There has to be a easier way to add participants to teams!

We would like to be able to start meeting (in outlook and it going in Teams ) and then create a team based on the meeting invitee in order to record and share contents.

Without a list upload we won't be able to use teams with larger groups and creating breakout groups will be very difficult, surely the simple list approach must be easy to implement as the code exists in many other MS apps

Yes, yes. In fact we need more M365 tools to create & manage departmental groupings in general, not just in Teams but across all the M365 tools.
We need a nice control panel for our office management staff to create and manage security groups so that adding new staff member to a massive pile of teams, other SharePoint libraries, etc., is as easy as adding them to a security group. Also a pain is if a staff member moves department. We then have to manually go through all the teams to make sure they're in the right ones. It's a total pain and something that should not really be left to doing it manually.
