Mass add users to a channel or team
Please add mass add users to a channel or team.
Like we use on other Office 365 services. email@domain;email@domain and (if possible) @everyone something like that.
I'm using and loving Microsoft Teams :-)
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for your feedback and comments! The team is looking into how best to do this. We will post an update here as we have more to share.

When will the feature ready?

A temporary solution would be a Flow ->
from excel file on onedrive
for each row
Any updates? When will we have the ability to bulk-add users (either by pasting multiple e-mail addresses or uploading a CSV/Excel file) to a Team?
Nice blog. Found this while searching through

This is great the first time we setup a team but our DL changes periodically as new employees are hired and we need a way to add these new employees to all the relevant teams.

It would be helpful to handle local DLs (i.e., those that are not in AD). If there is no Exchange/Office DL in AD, then the only option seems to be adding one at a time.

I seem to be unable to add a distribution list. When I entered the email address for the mailing list, the dialogue said "We didn't find any matches", and the 'Add' button was disabled. All our DLs start with a # symbol, is that a factor?

If I use Exchange Online powershell to bulk import members to the O365 group will those users get notified that they've been invited to the Team?
We use MS365 Education for our school. I want to bulk add student names without having to create a distribution list for each class as this puts their email addresses into a public space for all staff to view. Is there a way for me to bulk add them without adding them into a distribution list?

Can you do this by adding a dynamic distribution list? All new employees are automatically added to our company email list, but we couldn't get them automatically added to an "all company team."
The DL support needs to support nested DLs.
I need to use security groups from company Active directory that is synced to our tenant. Is it possible?
Do DL updates automatically perpetuate to the team? If not then this story isn't fully wrapped up. I've been feeling this already where we've added a DL to our team, but anyone new we have to remember to add--and remove if people leave.

I tried this also, it would be best to be able to copy and paste a list of internal emails.

I tried adding a Distribution List (DL) and a few more people to a Team. But the DL appeared as a DL in the Team. I was hoping that in the Team, everyone would appear as individuals. It would help speed up me adding people to each Team. Over time we shall wean users off of our old DLs.
I the future we will use MS Teams instead of DL! Why we have to create first an DL to have a possibility to add more then one user in a batch?

While this is a great feature, it's only partially complete. On an on-going basis the Team should following the changes to the DL or security group. Saves us admins the burden of manually doing this going forward. Requested feature here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18612385-when-granting-access-a-security-group-or-distribut
