Mass add users to a channel or team
Please add mass add users to a channel or team.
Like we use on other Office 365 services. email@domain;email@domain and (if possible) @everyone something like that.
I'm using and loving Microsoft Teams :-)
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for your feedback and comments! The team is looking into how best to do this. We will post an update here as we have more to share.
Really, a year later and still no help? What is more if you move away form the dialog, you loose the list you have spent the last hour pasting into the dialog one by one
great idea andre buss

I'd suggest to have way to multiple people together as individual user not just part of DL.
We have meeting where we can create DL for user but we need mas group in meeting. Adding individual user is pain.
Would be great to just be able to do a copy and paste of a list of names
At a minimum the ability to add more than one e-mail or recognized system user separated by ; or , just as you can do in the other Microsoft platforms.
I've created a new Team. Logged in in Azure AD and changed the membership type from assigned to dynamic user and created a Dynamic Membership Rule. It took a couple of hours before all 117 members where added to the team.

Make it work according to this similar suggestion - https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18612385-when-granting-access-a-security-group-or-distribut
Make it easy to add 'guests' on MS Teams and add members to Outlook contact lists. It's a complete pain to deal with this when it should be much easier. Provide an import wizard that can strip out the required info from a 'good-enough' CSV.
Fully support this idea- but it would also require the ability to mass remove or mass edit users from a team.
Wish this was an available feature when we had migrated from slack to teams. Hopefully this DL integration will be dynamic; by that I mean as more users are added to firstname.lastname@example.org DL in 365, they'd automatically be added into a public channel etc.

Can you provide some details of the feature that is being added? Currently a system distribution group(DG) can be used to "invite" users to a team. I have encountered issues adding a DG that contain other system DG. I have not found clear documentation about adding bulk users and how users are added.
I'm struggling to add a distribution group. It's been created in outlook and won't appear in Teams. Any guidance on how to do this is greatly appreciated, :)

This is really needed, please add this feature at the earliest
Please add mass import of people to teams

For those looking for a resolution to this, a workaround would be to mass add people to the underlying Group in, for example, Outlook.
Of course, it would be great if we could do this in the Teams client - after all, one of the main advantages of Teams is that you can do everything you do as a team without being forced to jump between different tools...

When will the feature ready?

A temporary solution would be a Flow ->
from excel file on onedrive
for each row
Any updates? When will we have the ability to bulk-add users (either by pasting multiple e-mail addresses or uploading a CSV/Excel file) to a Team?
Nice blog. Found this while searching through
