Mass add users to a channel or team
Please add mass add users to a channel or team.
Like we use on other Office 365 services. email@domain;email@domain and (if possible) @everyone something like that.
I'm using and loving Microsoft Teams :-)
Thanks a lot.
Thank you for your feedback and comments! The team is looking into how best to do this. We will post an update here as we have more to share.

I have written a blog and developed a small script to do this very easily.

I am also in need of mass or bulk add. It is painful and not a good use of time (waste in terms of lean six sigma) to manually enter the names, especially if there are 20+ by hand.

Yes please allow us to import a lot of students at the same time! Importing them one-by-one becomes very tedious when you have a lot of students. Something simple with a copy/paste of a list of email addresses, for example, would be perfect!

Should include adding attendees to Live Event that is private (not organization wide or public).

Is this fixed yet? Cut and paste works flawlessly on my Comcast server

Very much needed. Ability to invite a bunch of folks (email database) to a channel, outside of our own organization. THANK YOU

We extremely need this. Not only to add people in the organization but also to add guests, in bulk. Thank you.

We definitely need to be able to add users to specific channels in bulk. When you have a Team available for a large audience, (i.e. IT/Systems and HR) but you need a channel specific to only one part of that group due to sensitivity (i.e. HR), we currently have to either manually add hundreds of users to the channel or split into two teams. We are opting for keeping one team because of the overlap of communications that impact both IT and HR, but it will be tedious to maintain the channel until the functionality improves.

As a workaround I created a flow that reads user principal name from Excel ..in a loop and add them to office 365 group ..so what you will do
1.Manually trigger flow
2.list rows present in a table
3. Apply to each --value
add member to groupI hope this gives you push into right direction as a workaround

I'm confused - the Microsoft Azure portal "Bulk Operation" has let me do this since I started working with M365 in March.
Since I'm working in a college and we let students create their own Teams, I'd really prefer that this ISN'T available as a general ability!

Hurry up! Not fun to add tens of email addresses one by one to Teams.

This is really something that should be realized. For now, I work with a program made in Microsoft Flow that adds users who are placed in an Excel file. Depending on the number of emails he continues scanning the file for new email addresses to add.

My problem is when I need to add multiple *EXTERNAL* emails to my Teams meeting invite and I believe the only way to do it is one at a time... Very annoying when you have 30 people to add. In addition, even more annoying, after entering each external email address, I need to wait a couple of seconds for the pop-up to confirm that indeed, I want to add that person to the mailing list. If there is a workaround for that, I have not yet found it.

In universities we have been waiting for this feature since 2017 for professors who need to activate one-shot teams on their own without going through the IT department .... please hurry up!

How to Add Multiple Members In Microsoft Teams in One Go:

This is basic! it should exist from the very beginning

This is an essential feature to be able to add members in one operation, using multiple email addresses. I have wasted so much time googling for answer. In the Add Members dialogue box, there is even a Comment Tip that says "Start typing a name, distribution list, or security group to add to your team" but nothing I've tried works (no recognition of my Outlook Contact Groups); however, it does recognize other Microsoft Teams but that is not what I want.
Thank you.

Or fix adding members via distribution list. I can select contact group or distribution list in outlook, but it just freezes and doesn't add members (even for small groups). From MS Teams It doesn't even show up...
