I want the party to never stop. This is important to me. Please provide options to keep them gifs autoplaying forever.
I wouldn't mind investing some CPU in having the gifs playing when the teams window is not even active. That party parrot needs to keep dancing. FOREVER.

This goes to show that options are required. There should be:
- Never show
- Show static GIF
- Play only when clicked
- Play through once
- Play continuously
fun ******... They have that, you have to login to teams online as admin and disable it for your account

I love the fact that they stop playing. It can get very distracting if they don't
Stop the noise!
I cannot work with all the damned blinking and cutesy images. I'm trying to use Teams for work. If my colleagues want to post gifs, okay, just let me turn them off.
Slack had a command, /collapse , that allowed me to opt out.
This is the ONE thing that will keep me from using teams.

Agreed. This is a distraction and keeps this from being an enterprise-class tool. Nothing wrong with this feature in certain contexts, but an option to have gifs, memes, and stickers NOT display from the client end would be ideal.
As it is now, I have now way of not displaying the unwanted and distracting content in my Teams client, which makes it extremely distracting when trying to use it for actual work.

The pause button on the animated gif also DOES NOTHING in individual chats on the Windows client: 1.0.00.19451 (64-bit)
Animated GIFs are great and love having them. Just need to be able to turn them off, minimize them, something when I'm done with it.

There is a pause button on the animated gif, and it DOES NOTHING. (at least in individual chats). Mac Client: 1.0.00.19452.
This should include the ability to have in collapsed format by default - similar to Slack's Inline Media & Links /collapse feature *INCLUDING for internal organization.

This is a legitimate accessibility issue for people prone to migraines or seizures - if anyone posts a rapidly flashing GIF, there's no way to stop or hide it as far as I can tell.
This is VERY much needed! Autoplay is annoying .... but what's worse is pausing GIFs but then have them automatically start again when I navigate away from them and then back.

Absolutely necessary, they bog down the system.
yes please provide this option
This would be super helpful, autoplay gifs are very distracting.

Allow us to preview the entire GIF before pasting it into a conversation, make the preview window bigger (or enlarge on mouse over)
Constantly looping GIFs is really distracting - it prevents me from keeping a window up while working, which makes it unusable for an enterprise collaboration tool.
Yes please. I would like to remove them entirely -- emsecially when they block other more important content under a 'see more' ellipsis.

I love having the animated GIFs, but it would be great to not have them autoplay every time I scroll through a chat conversation. For me, the ability to disable the Autoplay could be universal (i.e I have to press play on it every time) or even just once they've timed out (i.e. it plays once but once it times out and pauses, I have to manually start it to play it again). Either option would be great.
Definitely please - this totally distracts from the actual important stuff
