Adding more than 20 files is not possible
When adding more than 20 files at the same time you get a message that maximum is 20. Should me more or limitation to size instead.
I hate it! It is soo inefficient. I have to move 500 files from one folder to another and it says only 10 files allowed at a time. This is soo inefficient
Click on the Sharepoint button to go to sharepoint, then you can upload more then 10 files.

Agreed - upload limit of 10 files and loss of folder structure is *not* awesome … especially in the free version with no option to use the SPO interface.
Yeah, limited to 10 files and folder structure is not kept. It sure is annoying and seems to be a weird restriction especially if Microsoft is trying to push Teams as the goto thing.
As a workaround, There should be a link in the teams/files window, cick "open in sharepoint", and use the web interface to upload which also allows you to keep your file structure as well.

So now it's worse. As of today, you can only upload 10 files at a time. Way to go Microsoft.
Company wants to transition from network shares to Teams/Sharepoint. This limitation is a non-starter.
you can zip the folder and send as many as you want.
Absolutely ridiculous! I have 1000s of files all in file structure on my system. To use Teams productively a file dump function is necessary even if they are all queued waiting - 20 limit - honestly! Is bandwidth a problem for you Microsoft???
I want to migrate thousands of files into teams and indeed I have a limit of 20 limits. Is there a bulk function ?
Not only can you not add more than 20 files, but you cannot add a file folder structure, so if you want to migrate a ton of files within various folders and subfolders, you would need to recreate that folder structure and then copy no more than 20 files at a time into the respective locations. IT is looking into a workaround or bulk upload function. If we cannot find one, we will not be able to use Teams.
We would like to migrate from our old setup and this will not be possible 20 files at a time. For those of you using SharePoint, you can switch move the files and then refresh Teams.

This would be nice to have a option to control this limit and/or increase it globally across teams. We are potentially looking at teams as our sole document storage/collaboration structure to migrating from our network would be painful.
Increase the upload limit. Even if they only upload 20 at a time but the rest are queued waiting.
Clicking on the tab "Files" within a channel, I usually have to wait for more than 10~15sec to see the list of files, regardless of the size of the list (1file or 20files).
This is terribly slow and makes me avoid using Files section but operate on the Sharepoint folder directly and I don't accept that as a workaround.
Another thing is that if anyone else adds a file to that folder (while I have Files section in my view), I have no way to see the added file unless I switch back/forth between Conversations and Files, which makes it another 15sec to see the new file. Very, very sloppy and unproductive.
When I try to drag even just one file into Teams I get an error message that says, "You can only upload 20 files at a time". The only way to upload is to click the upload button and select the file.

I just tried to upload a folder and I got this message ""You can only upload 20 files".
Are you serious?
