Remove OneNote Tab from Channel
Now that Teams adds a Wiki tab by default to each Channel, I'd like to remove the previous default OneNote tab from each Channel.
The feature team has reviewed this item and decided to decline it at this time.

I agree with Jay. It is important to be able to remove the default OneNote tab for a channel, since it will inevitably cause confusion when other similar tabs are added.
Now that the ability to add existing OneNote notebooks to channels has been added, the ability to remove the old default OneNote tabs is critical to avoid confusion and notes being added to the wrong location.
Yes, sure, let us remove that **** OneNote tab...
I'd prefer the OneNote tab than Wiki. Wiki is just one more thing for people to deal with. It's taken long enough to get them to use OneNote.
This. Please allow me to remove OneNote tab. I'd like to use Wiki and not confuse team members.
Agree - we need to be able to clean up the menu to make it more intuitive. You can delete the underlying channel Onenote but the menu item still resides. This ain't a good UX

makes sense. For too long the achilles heel of O365 has been too much overlapping products. I love that the new wiki tab is very lightweight (tho does need to support markdown to be a true wiki) and it makes a refreshing change from heavyweight apps like OneNote, but please don't let's promote having them side-by-side. One or the other please (preferably, for me, the wiki tab)
